View Project- A distraction-free YouTube lecture player for students that surfaces only fully playable lectures — automatically detecting and hiding deleted, private, and members-only videos and refreshing content on a 5-day cycle so playlists stay clean, fresh, and reliable for every user.
- Re-architected content-freshness reconciliation off the HTTP request path onto an Apache Kafka pipeline (single-broker KRaft, no ZooKeeper), replacing fragile fire-and-forget syncs with durable, retryable processing; topics partitioned by playlist ID for per-playlist ordering, with a dead-letter topic for messages that exhaust retries against the quota-limited YouTube API.
- Deployed the API and Kafka consumer workers to Kubernetes on GKE — authoring Deployments, a Kafka StatefulSet with persistent volume, Services, Ingress, HorizontalPodAutoscalers, Secrets, and ConfigMaps; kept PostgreSQL external (Neon, pooled connections) to avoid connection exhaustion under multiple replicas.
- Designed for graceful degradation: Kafka and workers sit off the read path, so the API keeps serving cached freshness from PostgreSQL even if the pipeline is down — stale, never an outage.

View Project- Built a production voice/chat agent that answers customer queries from a spa knowledge base and FAQ, describes services and pricing, and books appointments directly into a connected calendar over a natural conversation.
- Engineered the speech loop on Cloudflare Workers with Deepgram for streaming speech-to-text and text-to-speech, handling a low-latency real-time audio loop with barge-in support and per-connection state management.
- Used a dual-LLM setup — Gemini 3 Flash Lite plus OpenRouter DeepSeek — to balance response quality, latency, and cost across intent handling and booking flows.
