- Allocated security groups so only the ALB reaches the app tier, and only the app tier reaches RDS.
- Added CloudWatch alarms for CPU, memory, and error rates, and sent SNS notifications to Slack.
- Moved the DB credentials and API keys to Secrets Manager, referenced them in Terraform.
- Verified failover by terminating an ASG instance and confirming zero-downtime traffic reroute.

- Built a Python Lambda triggered by CloudWatch Logs subscription filters on ERROR/WARN events.
- Sent log batches to an LLM API to flag root cause and suggest fixes, posted results to Slack.

- Switched from per-event to 5-minute batched analysis via EventBridge, reducing API calls.
- Better accuracy in finding the root cause by including surrounding log context in the prompt, not just the error line.
