Manufacturing Quality Assurance work includes: •Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a manufactured material, component, or product •Building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products •Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards •Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods Level: A Senior Para-Professional (S3) requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that our suppliers provide us with products and materials that meet our quality standards for safety, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with our supply chain team, engineering team, and suppliers to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve supplier performance.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality systems, processes, and
Products
Develop and maintain supplier quality management plans that define expectations,
requirements, and performance targets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues related to
supplier products, materials, and services
Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality performance through data analysis, root
cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
Apply statistical process control (SPC) techniques to measure and monitor supplier quality performance
Work with suppliers to develop and execute supplier development plans to improve their quality systems, processes, and products
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry quality standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related field
2+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or related field
Experience in statistical process control (SPC) techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of regulatory and industry quality standards (such as ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, etc.)
