LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the voice-driven era of computing. Our platform gives developers everything they need to build, test, deploy, scale, and observe agents in production. Founded in 2021, LiveKit powers voice AI applications for OpenAI, xAI, Salesforce, Coursera, Spotify, and thousands of others, collectively facilitating billions of calls each year.
Most AE roles ask you to sell a product you only half understand to buyers who already know they want it. This is not that role. You'll sell a deeply technical product to developers, CTOs, and product teams ā people who can smell a script from a mile away and will respect you more for going deep on the tech than for any closing line you've practiced. We don't have a polished playbook handed down from a head of sales who left three companies ago. We have a new sales leader, a market that's exploding faster than we can keep up with, and a real opportunity for the right person to help define the motion from the inside.
If you're energized by ambiguity, allergic to bureaucracy, and the kind of seller who genuinely enjoys learning why a customer is building what they're building ā keep reading.
You'll thrive as an Account Executive if you:
are obsessed with making the best product for our customers
are known as the go-to person for tackling tough problems
work hard and can build and ship fast
are focused on polish, detail and quality
are a fast learner, frequently picking up new tips, tricks, and skills
The best way to impress us is with thoughtful ways you'd implement LiveKit, and potentially tinkering with it š
Own and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to demos, negotiation, and close
Develop deep product understanding and communicate technical value to developers, CTOs, and product teams
Generate pipeline through outbound efforts and strategic partnerships, with support from marketing and sales development
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers, identifying their goals and how our platform helps them succeed
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to bring customer feedback into roadmap discussions and positioning
Help shape and evolve our sales playbook, messaging, and GTM motion as one of the earliest sales hires
Accurately forecast and track pipeline activity, working closely with leadership to inform strategy and planning
4+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 of those years selling into enterprise
A track record of consistently selling 6-figure deals and hitting or exceeding quota in fast-paced or early-stage environments
Strong instincts for selling technical products ā APIs, developer tools, or infrastructure tooling ā you don't shy away from going deep with technical buyers
Comfortable in low-process, high-autonomy environments and bringing structure where it's missing
Able to translate technical capability into business value for both technical buyers and executive stakeholders
High accountability, ownership, and bias for action ā you don't wait to be told what the right next move is
Disciplined with CRM and pipeline hygiene (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
Experience selling at an infrastructure or developer-tools company, ideally with multi-product or platform sales motion
Time spent as one of the earliest sellers at a startup ā you know what it feels like to build the plane while flying it
A real interest in voice AI, agents, or real-time infrastructure (not just "AI" in your LinkedIn headline)
You once spent a Saturday building something with an API just to see if you could š
An opportunity to build something truly impactful to the world
Competitive salary and equity package
Flexible vacation policy
