## **Trellis builds and deploys self-improving agents to get patients access to life-saving medicine.**
**Our AI agents process billions of dollars worth of therapies annually with patients in all fifty states.** We do this by automating document intake, prior authorizations, and appeals at scale to streamline operations and accelerate care. We classify medical referrals, understand chart notes, and automate contract and reimbursement search to provide patients with accurate coverage determinations and cost responsibility. Think of us as the the infrastructure behind how the patients get the medications.
Trellis is a spinout from Stanford AI Lab and is backed by leading investors including YC, General Catalyst, Telesoft Partners, and executives at Google and Salesforce.
## The Role
We're hiring an Account Executive to own deals end to end: source pipeline, run the sales cycle, and close. You'll work directly with our founders and GTM leads, and help shape how Trellis sells as we scale.
We sell to specialty pharmacies, infusion centers, provider groups (oncology, neurology, rheumatology, dermatology), and health systems. You'll focus on the segments with the most momentum, with room to pick where you can win.\
\
**Compensation:** The pay range listed is on-target earnings (OTE), including base salary and commission.
## What You'll Do
* **Run and close deals:** Own discovery, demos, pilot scoping, pricing, and contracting through signature, alongside the founders on the largest enterprise deals
* **Build your own pipeline:** Identify target accounts, run outbound across email, phone, LinkedIn, and events, and book meetings with operations, revenue cycle, and pharmacy leaders
* **Sell the ROI:** Translate prior auth, benefits verification, and reimbursement workflows into clear business cases for senior buyers
* **Work smarter with AI:** Use modern GTM tools (CRM, Clay or similar, sequencing) to make prospecting and deal management repeatable
* **Shape the playbook:** Test messaging and segments, track win rates and cycle times, and feed what you learn back to product and marketing
* **Partner with deployment:** Hand off cleanly to our deployment team so pilots convert to production and expand
## About You
You're a builder who likes owning a number. You'd rather open a new market than inherit a territory, and you're as comfortable writing a cold sequence as you are walking a VP of Operations through a business case.
You move fast, stay organized, and get curious about how things work. That means learning how a prior authorization moves through a specialty pharmacy, or how to wire up a tool that saves you ten hours a week.
## What You'll Bring
* 3+ years in a quota-carrying sales role, ideally including time as a closing AE
* A track record of hitting or beating quota on complex, multi-stakeholder deals
* Experience self-sourcing pipeline, not just working inbound
* Comfort selling to senior operational and executive buyers
* Clear, crisp written and verbal communication
* High ownership and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving startup
* Healthcare, pharmacy, revenue cycle, or health-tech sales experience is a big plus
* Experience selling technical or AI products is a plus
## Why Work With Us
* **Real impact at massive scale:** We serve patients in all fifty states and are scaling to hundreds of healthcare locations. Every account you close means more patients starting therapy sooner.
* **Incredible growth and traction:** We've grown revenue 10x in the past few months alone and have XX% market share in the specialty healthcare markets we serve.
* **Build the playbook, not follow one:** You'll help define how Trellis sells into new segments, including health systems, with real input on strategy, tooling, and hiring.
* **Work with the founding team:** Partner directly with founders and F500 customers, alongside healthcare operations leaders who have overseen 50+ locations.
* **Be at the forefront of AI in healthcare:** Sell production-grade agentic systems that make critical healthcare decisions, not a demo.
* **World-class team:** Join teammates who have won international physics olympiads, published economics research, were founding engineers at unicorn startups, and taught AI classes to hundreds of Stanford graduate students.
