Wordsmith is building the legal operations platform for in-house teams, and we are growing fast.
We believe in-house legal is becoming one of the most important functions in the AI era. Every business is moving faster, but legal work is still too often scattered across inboxes, chats, documents, and disconnected systems.
Wordsmith brings that work into one system. Requests come in from across the business, AI agents handle the routine, lawyers stay in control where judgment matters, and every step is captured as work happens.
We are built for in-house legal, not law firms. Our goal is to help legal teams move faster, reduce unnecessary external counsel spend, and become a function the business can run with.
More than 500 companies, including Financial Times, Safelite, Trip.com, Canva, Starling, and Sage, use Wordsmith. Backed by $100M from Index Ventures, General Catalyst, Highland Europe, and others, we are building one of the defining companies in legal AI.
We’re hiring an SMB Account Executive to drive high-velocity sales across smaller and mid-sized legal teams.
This is a full-cycle role focused on running a high volume of opportunities, moving quickly from first conversation to close.
You’ll need to qualify hard, manage your time well, and keep deals moving. You’ll work closely with SDRs, Marketing, and Product, but you own the number.
Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound opportunities
Qualify quickly and focus on the deals that matter
Run efficient discovery and demos with a clear focus on value
Close deals in shorter sales cycles (typically 2–6 weeks)
Consistently hit and exceed revenue and activity targets
Maintain clean pipeline and strong follow-up across all deals
Use CRM as your operating system to manage volume effectively
1–3 years of SaaS sales experience (or strong SDR ready to step up)
Evidence of hitting targets in a high-velocity environment
Strong qualification skills — you know when to push and when to walk away
Clear, confident communicator
Highly organised and disciplined with pipeline management
High energy and resilience — you can handle volume without losing quality
We’re an in-office team. We work together because it helps us move faster, learn quickly, and improve as a group. You should expect to be in the office as your default.
This is a fast-paced environment. You’ll be managing multiple deals at once, and momentum matters.
The people who do well here stay organised, keep control of their pipeline, and don’t let deals stall.
Equity: Stock options with real upside
Market: Strong demand and fast-moving buyers
Sales cycle: 2–6 weeks with high deal volume
Support: SDR, Marketing, and Product working closely with Sales
Progression: Clear path into Mid-Market AE
We’re growing quickly, bringing on new customers, and expanding how legal teams use AI.
SMB is a key part of that growth, with fast feedback loops and strong conversion.
If you want to run a high volume pipeline, close deals quickly, and develop strong sales fundamentals, this is a great place to do it.
