Madano is a top 10 UK healthcare communications consultancy, helping healthcare organisations turn complex science, products and innovations into communications that engage, inform and inspire action.
We combine scientific rigour with strategic thinking, creative excellence and deep healthcare expertise to solve complex challenges, unlock opportunities and deliver meaningful impact.
Over the past three years, our Healthcare Practice has experienced exceptional growth, establishing Madano as one of the UK's leading independent healthcare communications teams. We're ambitious about where we're heading next and we're looking for talented, curious and driven people who want to grow with us.
This is a place for people who are eager to make their mark. People who thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace new challenges and are excited by the opportunity to shape client relationships, grow accounts and win new business. While we're ambitious about growth, we're equally committed to creating an environment where people feel supported, trusted and able to do their best work.
You'll work alongside experienced medical communicators, writers, strategists, creatives and other specialists, giving you the opportunity to broaden your skills and accelerate your development.
Our Account Managers are at the heart of our client teams. They're scientifically curious, highly organised and motivated by producing excellent work. They enjoy getting under the skin of a therapy area, understanding the science and finding the best way to communicate it.
They're also natural problem-solvers who take ownership, build strong relationships and enjoy the pace and variety of agency life.
Medical Communications & Scientific Excellence: You will develop a strong understanding of your clients' science, therapy areas and medical objectives, helping to turn complex scientific information into clear, accurate and engaging communications for different audiences and channels.
Client Relationships & Consultancy: You will be a trusted day-to-day contact for your clients, building strong relationships and developing the confidence to provide thoughtful recommendations and solutions. You'll understand what clients are trying to achieve, anticipate what they need and help turn their objectives into effective medical communications programmes.
Programme & Project Leadership: You will take ownership of projects from brief through to delivery, bringing together the right people and ensuring programmes stay on track. You'll be the person who knows what's happening, what needs to happen next and where potential issues need to be addressed.
Team Leadership & Development: You will play an important role in creating a collaborative, supportive and high-performing team. You'll delegate effectively, help junior colleagues develop and contribute to an environment where people feel confident sharing ideas, asking questions and taking ownership.
Commercial & Account Management: You'll develop a strong understanding of the commercial side of account management, taking responsibility for project budgets, resources and scope while supporting the sustainable growth of your accounts.
Growth & New Business: While this role is primarily focused on excellent medical communications and client delivery, we want our Account Managers to be curious about the wider client business and excited by opportunities to grow. You'll contribute ideas, spot opportunities and support senior colleagues in developing existing and new client relationships.
We're looking for someone with experience in healthcare or medical communications who is ready to take greater ownership of clients, projects and teams. Typically 3+ years' experience in healthcare or medical communications, including experience within a consultancy or agency environment.
This is an opportunity to join a consultancy at an exciting stage of growth.
You'll work alongside some of the brightest minds in healthcare communications, developing your medical communications expertise while taking increasing ownership of clients, programmes and teams.
For ambitious medical communicators looking to take the next step in their career, this is an opportunity to develop quickly, take real ownership and make your mark within a growing healthcare practice.
