About us
Searchable is an agentic marketing platform built for the age of AI search. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews have transformed how people discover information. Brands now need to measure and optimise their visibility across all of the major AI search engines.
We help companies grow their organic presence across SEO, AEO, and GEO through a fully agentic platform that identifies opportunities, recommends actions, and automates improvements with Searchable’s AI agent. We’re at $5M ARR in just 10 months, backed by top angels and VCs, and building the team that will define the category.
We’re office-based five days a week near London Bridge and in Salt Lake City US. If you thrive in a startup culture where people put in hours because they love solving hard problems and taking radical ownership, you'll fit right in.
The Role
You own the SEO and AEO strategy for Searchable.com hands on and you are accountable for the result.
You report to the Head of Marketing (and CEO) and are the most senior search person working on our own site.
This is an internal role working on our own AEO and SEO performance.
Our customer AEO team, led by the Head of AEO, works on customer accounts. You work only on Searchable's own visibility, and you share tests and findings with that team so customers benefit from what we learn on our own.
You set the search priorities. The Heads of Content, Digital PR and Growth and the YouTube Lead deliver them in their channels underneath your guidance.
SEO & AEO: Using the Searchable platform to understand where we are visible, where competitors are outperforming us and what actions we should take next.
Cross-Channel Strategy: Turning those insights into practical strategies across content, Digital PR, YouTube, LinkedIn and wider marketing activity.
Training & Knowledge Transfer: Raising SEO and AEO knowledge across the company through training, documentation and regular updates.
Platform Expertise: Becoming an expert user of Searchable and feeding real-world product improvements back to the Product team.
Research: Investigating changes in AI search and turning findings into practical recommendations.
SEO & AEO
Help lead and execute Searchable's SEO and AEO strategy.
Own technical SEO for Searchable.com: site structure, crawlability, indexing, schema and page performance and work closely with engineering and product to deliver this to site.
Analyse our performance across search engines and AI platforms.
Carry out regular competitor analysis to understand where others are winning and why.
Identify opportunities to improve visibility, authority and market share.
Analyse prompts, citations, mentions, competitors and influential sources.
Find pre-validated ideas by identifying topics, formats, sources and strategies already showing signs of success in the market.
Use competitor performance and Searchable data to prioritise opportunities with evidence behind them.
Turn findings into clear actions and strategies.
Track performance and recommend what we should do next.
Provide regular reports, feedback and ideas to the Head of Search.
Help develop repeatable internal SEO and AEO processes.
Content, YouTube, LinkedIn & Digital PR
You will work closely across the marketing team.
Work with the Head of Content to identify SEO and AEO opportunities and help shape content strategy.
Use competitor and market analysis to surface content ideas that are already validated by search demand, AI visibility or competitor performance.
Work with the Head of Digital PR to identify important publications, sources, links and authority-building opportunities.
Work with the YouTube Lead to identify topics and shape YouTube content informed by search demand, competitor performance and AI visibility.
Work with the Head of Growth to develop LinkedIn strategies, topics and opportunities for increasing Searchable's visibility.
Use Searchable data to help determine what we should talk about, where we need to appear and which channels or sources matter most.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
Share regular updates on what is changing across search and AI.
Train internal teams on SEO, AEO and how to use Searchable effectively.
Help Content, Growth, YouTube and Digital PR understand how their work impacts search visibility.
Create simple internal guides, frameworks and documentation.
Share successful tests, learnings, competitor insights and strategies with the wider team.
Help colleagues become more confident interpreting Searchable data.
Support the development of a strong internal search culture.
The aim is not for SEO and AEO knowledge to sit with one person. You should actively help transfer what you know across the business.
Platform Expertise & Product Feedback
You will use Searchable every day as part of your work.
Become an expert user of the Searchable platform.
Use the platform to manage and analyse our own SEO and AEO performance.
Use competitor and source data to uncover new strategic opportunities.
Identify missing data, workflows or functionality.
Regularly provide feedback to the Head of Search and Product team.
Suggest improvements based on real-world use.
Help us understand what SEO and AEO practitioners actually need from the platform.
Using Searchable to improve Searchable should become an important feedback loop between Search, Marketing and Product.
Research & Continuous Learning
Research is part of the role, but it supports the wider objective of improving performance. You will occasionally:
Investigate changes in AI search and search behaviour.
Analyse datasets to identify useful patterns.
Test hypotheses when we need to better understand why something is happening.
Research competitors, platforms or emerging search trends.
Turn relevant findings into practical recommendations.
We are looking for someone who stays curious and informed, but ultimately uses that knowledge to drive action.
Who You Are
Has strong SEO knowledge and hands-on experience.
Is highly interested in AEO, LLMs and the future of search.
Can turn data and findings into clear strategies and actions.
Understands content, links, technical SEO and authority building.
Is strong at competitor analysis and spotting patterns across markets.
Can identify opportunities that are already backed by evidence rather than relying purely on intuition.
Is proactive and comfortable testing new ideas.
Can communicate clearly with different teams.
Is comfortable training others and sharing knowledge.
Enjoys working collaboratively across marketing functions.
Wants to become highly knowledgeable about both AEO and the Searchable platform.
Uses AI tools to improve the speed and quality of their work.
Nice to have
Experience working in a B2B environment, particularly where search supports longer sales cycles, complex buying journeys or category education.
You don't need to arrive as an AEO expert. You do need to be curious, analytical and serious about becoming one.
What Success Looks Like
You become a trusted internal Search Lead who:
Improves Searchable's visibility across traditional and AI search.
Understands where competitors are winning and how we can respond.
Consistently identifies high-potential, pre-validated opportunities from our own data and the wider market.
Helps Content, Growth, YouTube and Digital PR make better decisions.
Turns Searchable data into practical strategies.
Clearly reports what is working, what isn't and what we should do next.
Becomes one of the most knowledgeable users of the Searchable platform.
Regularly identifies useful product improvements through your own work.
Why This Role Matters
Raise SEO and AEO knowledge across the wider team, so other teams can apply search principles independently.
Help Searchable lead by example in how SEO and AEO should be done.
Have direct influence on the product through your own day-to-day use of it.
Work at the edge of AI and search, building expertise that will define the next decade of this industry.
