In SAP supply chain and operations at PwC, you will specialise in providing consulting services for SAP supply chain and operations applications. You will analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and offer training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of SAP supply chain and operations applications. Working in this area, you will enable clients to optimise their supply chain processes, improve operational efficiency, and achieve their strategic objectives.

The SAP PPDS & PPQM Support Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end managed service delivery of SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) and Production Planning for Quality Management (PPQM) within a regulated BioPharma manufacturing landscape. The role ensures production stability, strong incident governance, compliance with GxP requirements, and effective coordination across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain stakeholders.

Scope of Responsibility
SAP PPDS (Advanced Planning, Detailed Scheduling, heuristics, alerts) SAP PPQM (Quality‑integrated production planning and execution) Integration touchpoints with: S/4HANA PP QM MES / LIMS IBP / APO (where applicable) Incident, Service Request, and enhancement governance under managed services Key Responsibilities Service Operations & Ticket Governance Own all PPDS and PPQM‑related incidents and service requests. Enforce strict ticket governance: Clear ownership and accountability Timely, meaningful updates with valid ETAs Correct classification (incident vs enhancement vs project) Act as the single escalation owner for aged or high‑impact PPDS tickets (e.g., long‑open scheduling issues). Proactively manage backlog health using ticket tracker data (aging, reopen trends, dependency blockers). 2. Managed Services Delivery Lead L2/L3 support teams delivering PPDS and PPQM services. Drive daily and weekly operational cadence: Production‑impact review Aging ticket reviews Risk and dependency tracking Ensure SLA adherence while protecting manufacturing and quality timelines. Identify requests that represent design or planning logic changes and route them through proper demand or project governance. 3. Manufacturing & Quality Alignment (BioPharma Focus) Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to align on: Scheduling priorities Quality constraints Batch and inspection dependencies Ensure PPDS changes do not negatively impact validated manufacturing processes. Balance production urgency with compliance and quality requirements. 4. PPDS & PPQM Functional Oversight Provide functional leadership on: PPDS heuristics, alerts, pegging, and capacity planning PPQM integration with production orders and quality inspections Guide root‑cause analysis for: Orders not flowing between S/4 and PPDS Scheduling inconsistencies Quality‑driven planning blocks Support performance optimization of PPDS runs during peak planning cycles. 5. Compliance & Audit Readiness Ensure support activities comply with GxP, SOX, and validation standards. Maintain audit‑ready documentation through disciplined ticket updates and resolution notes. Support audits related to manufacturing planning and quality systems. 6. Vendor & SME Coordination Coordinate with SAP product teams, MES vendors, and system integrators for PPDS/PPQM issues. Escalate systemic product limitations or vendor delays with data‑backed evidence. Work closely with SMEs to validate solution approaches before production changes. 7. Continuous Improvement Reduce recurring PPDS and PPQM issues through: Root‑cause remediation Knowledge articles Improved business guidance Improve predictability and stability of production planning support. Required Experience & Skills 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on PPDS and PPQM. 3+ years in support or service delivery management roles. Deep understanding of: Manufacturing planning and scheduling Quality‑integrated production processes Experience in BioPharma / Life Sciences or other regulated manufacturing environments. Strong ITSM, escalation management, and stakeholder communication skills.
