This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Automation Engineer based in Brazil.
As an AI Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation solutions that transform business operations and improve productivity. You will work closely with operational teams and subject matter experts to identify opportunities where AI agents and automated workflows can streamline processes and deliver measurable results. Using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem, you will turn complex business requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions that go beyond traditional chatbots. You will integrate systems, orchestrate workflows across multiple platforms, and rapidly prototype new ideas based on direct user feedback. Working in a collaborative, business-focused environment, you will ensure that every solution meets enterprise security, data governance, and compliance standards. This role offers the opportunity to apply emerging AI technologies to real-world challenges, with a particular focus on operational efficiency and healthcare-related processes. You will also contribute to user adoption, continuous improvement, and the long-term success of deployed automations.
Accountabilities:
- Analyze existing operational workflows in collaboration with business teams and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and process optimization.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent AI agents and automated workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem.
- Translate business requirements and operational challenges into practical, scalable, and production-ready automation solutions.
- Build solutions that address complete business workflows rather than focusing solely on conversational interfaces or basic chatbots.
- Integrate enterprise systems through APIs and orchestrate workflows across multiple applications, platforms, and data sources.
- Rapidly prototype automation solutions, gather feedback from end users, and refine implementations to improve usability, reliability, and business outcomes.
- Collaborate directly with operational teams to understand their needs, validate proposed solutions, and ensure that delivered automations address real-world challenges.
- Ensure all AI agents and automated workflows comply with enterprise data protection, information security, governance, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain deployed solutions to ensure consistent performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Document automation workflows, technical designs, integration configurations, and implementation procedures to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Support operational teams during implementation and adoption by providing training, guidance, and ongoing technical assistance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by evaluating automation performance, collecting user feedback, and implementing enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Requirements:
- Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying AI agents and automation solutions in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and the broader Microsoft AI ecosystem.
- Practical knowledge of API integrations, workflow orchestration, and connecting multiple enterprise systems and data sources.
- Demonstrated ability to translate real business processes into functional, production-ready automations that deliver measurable operational improvements.
- Experience with rapid prototyping, solution testing, and iterative development based on end-user feedback.
- Understanding of enterprise data management, information security, governance standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop effective technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams, and technical specialists.
- A practical, hands-on mindset with a focus on execution, continuous improvement, and delivering solutions that meet genuine business needs.
- Ability to work according to US business hours while collaborating with distributed teams and stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in healthcare technology, particularly within health insurance, payer organizations, or healthcare operations.
- Familiarity with Medicare and/or Medicaid processes and their operational requirements.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows such as claims processing, member enrollment, provider management, and prior authorizations.
- Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis to support automation initiatives and operational decision-making.
- Experience supporting software implementations, business process redesign, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with the challenges of deploying AI-powered solutions in regulated environments, particularly where data privacy and operational compliance are essential.
Benefits:
- Remote work flexibility: Work remotely from Brazil, with flexibility regarding your working location.
- Hands-on AI innovation: Build and deploy practical AI agents and automation solutions that address real operational challenges.
- Modern technology ecosystem: Work with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and emerging AI technologies.
- Meaningful business impact: Help organizations improve productivity, streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner directly with business teams and subject matter experts to design solutions that address their needs.
- End-to-end project ownership: Participate throughout the automation lifecycle, from opportunity identification and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Healthcare technology exposure: Gain experience applying AI and automation to healthcare-related operational processes, including payer and insurance workflows.
- Professional development: Strengthen your expertise in AI engineering, workflow automation, enterprise integrations, and production deployment.
