We’re financing the future of energy
Crux is the capital platform for the clean economy. We modernize capital raising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure with solutions across advisory, investments, technology, and intelligence.
Our team of 120+ is composed of experts in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology. We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Overture, Ardent Venture Partners, QED, Canapi, and others. These funds are joined by strategic investors including Pattern Energy, Clearway Energy, EDF Renewables, Intersect Power, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.
An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing
Energy demand is growing for the first time in decades, driving an urgent need for more affordable and reliable electricity. More electricity requires new clean energy infrastructure and strong domestic supply chains for minerals and components, as well as large amounts of capital.
Traditional project financing is opaque, fragmented, and analog. At Crux, we’re changing that. Through unmatched insights and expertise, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting, we power a more prosperous, clean, and secure energy future.
We are scaling quickly and looking for team members who are eager to combine deep expertise with an AI- and tech-forward mindset.
The Role
We are hiring an AI Enablement Lead to make AI a default part of how Crux works. You will embed with teams, find the problems where AI would actually change the work, and then help support the builds to solve problems. Harnesses, agents, integrations, internal tools. You will also run the programs that bring everyone else along: onboarding, training, office hours, and whatever formats you decide work better than those. You are part enabler, part builder; you love teaching others as well as getting your own hands dirty with vibe coding.
Crux is a small company doing complex work in a regulated market. Our people are sharp and busy, and most of them are eager to find ways to leverage AI to accelerate their day to day responsibilities. The gap is not awareness or appetite. It is activation energy, scaffolding, and someone whose job is to coach and support.
This role will suit someone who is genuinely both a builder and a teacher. You get a restless curiosity about new tools out of your system by shipping things, and you get satisfaction out of watching someone else’s work get better because of something you made or taught.
What you’ll do
Raise the floor. Get every person at Crux to the point where AI is a default part of how they work, and every team lead to the point where they are redesigning their team’s workflows around it. Own the onboarding, the curriculum, and the cohort programs that get us there.
Raise the ceiling. Embed with teams to diagnose where AI would meaningfully change the work, then translate that into a tool, workflow, or harness that ships and gets used. Build it yourself, or coach the person on that team who is going to build it.
Design how we do this. Office hours, workshops, a quarterly engagement with a single team, a course, a Slack cadence. The mix is yours. Build it, measure it, change it when it stops working.
Define and raise the bar. Own our fluency rubric and the quality thresholds for AI-assisted work. Coach people toward output they would be proud to put their name on, reduce AI slop across the org, and teach people when the right call is to use AI differently or not at all.
Carry the policy. Turn our AI access, tooling, and spend decisions into communication people actually read. In a broker-dealer context, know when a workflow touches compliance obligations and raise it before it ships.
Keep us current. New models and capabilities land fast. Make sure they reach the team quickly and in a form people can act on.
Who you are
4+ years of experience in technology enablement, learning and development, technical training or a related field, with experience helping teams adopt new tools and ways of working.
Experience designing and delivering onboarding, workshops, coaching, or learning programs for audiences with varying technical abilities, with demonstrated improvements in adoption, proficiency, or productivity.
Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered tools, agents, integrations, or automated workflows that others actively use. Familiarity with tools such as Claude Code, GitHub, Zapier, n8n, or similar platforms; a formal engineering background is not required.
Experience partnering with business teams to diagnose workflow challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate ambiguous needs into practical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to influence colleagues and senior stakeholders without direct authority, build trust, address skepticism, and support lasting changes in how people work.
Experience independently building and managing programs from the ground up, prioritizing competing needs, measuring results, and adapting based on feedback and usage.
Ability to evaluate AI-generated work for accuracy, quality, and usefulness, provide actionable coaching, and recognize when a workflow requires additional review for privacy or compliance.
