About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader for our Aladdin Product Management Whole Portfolio technology team. This leader will drive the vision, technology roadmap, and delivery of innovative solutions that power the next generation of investing across Aladdin’s Whole Portfolio technology product platform.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technology experience and knowledge across public and private markets and workflows, while successfully leading and empowering colleagues across a wide range of business functions to deliver results for Aladdin clients and BlackRock. The role will partner with globally distributed product and engineering teams, drive technical architecture decisions, accelerate AI-enabled capabilities, and lead cross-functionally across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and evolve the long-term product strategy for whole portfolio technology, aligned with firmwide objectives to scale BlackRock’s private markets business and deliver against Aladdin’s private markets commercial targets.
• Translate market trends, client needs, and internal partner feedback into a technology product roadmap that spans the end-to-end investment book of record.
• Partner closely across the Private Markets Product team to drive a cohesive Whole Portfolio product narrative.
• Embed AI explicitly into product strategy formation, roadmap definition, and prioritization. Leverage AI to increase efficiency, velocity, and rigor in setting, sequencing, and evolving the private product roadmap, enabling faster iteration and clearer trade-offs.

Execution & Delivery

• Lead cross-functional squads to deliver on roadmap priorities, including support for complex fund structures, enhanced fund operation and transaction models, investment operations, and accounting and performance.
• Partner with engineering and design teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features across Aladdin and eFront platforms.
• Lead a cross functional Aladdin team to drive forward product builds across Aladdin Data, Trading, Portfolio Management tools, Compliance, Post Trade, and Risk and Analytics.
• Drive the adoption of an AI enabled product development lifecycle and hold teams accountable for using AI to improve execution velocity and operating efficiency, while maintaining appropriate governance, quality, and risk discipline.
• Manage the product backlog and existing and new product commitments and escalations for 75+ clients.
• Engage with internal BlackRock investment and operations teams, external asset managers, and data partners to validate product direction and gather feedback.

Client & Partner Engagement

• Partner closely with Aladdin business development, client transformations/implementations, and relationship management teams to drive client engagement and deliver commercial revenue targets for Aladdin’s Whole Portfolio technology product offering. 
• Collaborate with go-to-market, marketing, and enablement teams to support product launches, client pipeline, revenue conversion, client onboarding and implementations, and internal education.
• Educate and evangelize the Whole Portfolio product narrative to Aladdin business partners.

Team Leadership & BlackRock Engagement

• Grow and mentor a high-performing team of product managers. Lead by influence and encourage a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Set clear expectations for AI enabled ways of working across product teams, positioning AI as a core component of how product managers plan, prioritize, and execute.
• Cultivate relationships with BlackRock investing and operational teams as part of our Aladdin “user-provider” model, and marshal and lead colleagues across the firm to deliver technology solutions and operating model enhancements that deliver priority business outcomes.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in investment management, enterprise investment technology, or financial markets, ideally across OMS/EMS, portfolio management systems, risk systems, or private markets platforms. 
• Strong understanding of front-to-back investment workflows, risk processes, portfolio construction, trading, operations, and technology architectures. 
• Strong understanding of private markets, including deal structures, operational workflows and ecosystem participants.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience engaging senior executives and clients.
• Self-starter comfortable operating in fast paced, multi-cultural environments; strong team management and leadership skills. 
• Organized, diligent, and committed to excellence in client engagement and internal execution.
• Deep passion for financial markets and technology. 


For NY7 - 50 Hudson Yards, New York Only the salary range for this position is USD$215,000.00 - USD$275,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
