The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 

As the Australia/New Zealand Group Portfolio Leader, you are the leader across all marketing functions, own the strategy and growth responsibility of our Portfolio and Marketing plans. As part of ANZ leadership team, your role is to input strategic insights and counsel for decision-making and operational/strategic planning to drive the overall growth of ANZ. As part of APAC Marketing Leadership Team, your role is to input to APAC regional strategy to ensure high relevance to ANZ’s plans and execution. You have an important role in shaping white space and collaborating with Regional on new product introductions to ensure successful market entry and launch of new products. You will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

 

• Lead the development and execution of Portfolio and Marketing Plans in collaboration with ANZ leadership team to achieve topline, margin, market share growth and business objectives for the Dental Solutions business in the Australia and New Zealand markets.
• Lead the overall marketing planning, manage budget and marketing effectiveness, motivate and develop the team on objective setting, performance management and individual development.
• Own the Solventum Dental Solutions Brand positioning in alignment with business direction, and leads internal and external teams on development and execution of integrated brand and portfolio marketing programs.
• Lead the effective operationalization of ANZ Marketing through context and clarity of roles/responsibilities, defining compliant guidelines/methods/standards for multiple disciplines within the Marketing function to continuously improve capabilities and performance.
• Align Portfolio Priorities with APAC Regional to determine go-to-marketing strategies based on the understanding of all segments and both product and customer life cycles;
• Develop and implement pricing strategies and tactics in line with business goals and customer insights on value perceptions with Finance and Sales.
• Drive New Product launch planning with cross-functional teams, develop and implement successful New Product launch plans that fully realize the business opportunity.
• Partner proactively with ANZ Sales to develop strategic customer relationship plans and effective sales stories. Maintains strategic relationships with key channel partners.
• Leads the development and direction of a market coverage strategy, and manage trade marketing budgets and trade marketing programs in partnership with Sales teams.
• Develop strong strategic market insights (customer, competition, new business models) for strategic planning and market shaping. Formalize recommendations to feed the growth strategy of the business.
• Responsible for portfolio forecast and planning process, driving effective alignment with commercial and supply teams in assessing demand, mix accuracy, clarification and interpretation of market/industry size and future potential
• Ensures compliance with industry and regulatory requirements and reporting regarding working with customers.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

 

• Bachelor level university/college degree in Marketing or Business Administration is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in medical devices industry;
• Expert/master knowledge and experience with proven success in med-tech/pharmaceutical marketing, market access, omni-channel marketing, branding, CRM etc.
• More than 8 years in leadership position with proven capability to motivate teams to high performance; demonstrated effectiveness at developing talent throughout organizational levels.
• Proven experiences in winning with and through multi-matrix organizations especially with Global, Regional matrix and senior-level stakeholders with consistent storytelling capability based on insights and data.
• Global and Local strategic thinking with proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with a multitude of functions, outstanding communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical ability and understanding.

 

Work location: Sydney

Travel: May include up to 35% of time.
