£56,226.41 per annumWe are seeking Area Network Controllers (iBus) to supervise the operation and performance of all routes within the Company’s operating area, and to manage the team of iBus Controllers in a centralised iBus Centre ensuring that route performance standards are met or exceeded to maximise QICs potential, as well as liaising with the Borough Engagement Manager as required.
The postholders should have knowledge of all service control systems and software used by the Company and TfL and, in addition, it is essential that you have a sound geographical knowledge of our operating area, route control strategy and an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of iBus Controllers. Applicants should also possess sound personal skills including; communication, self-motivation, accuracy and quality. The ability to plan and prioritise work is also essential.
Hours of work are based on a 40-hour week, however, the jobholder must be flexible and be prepared to respond positively to the need to change working patterns at short notice to suit the needs of the business, including working unsocial hours and weekends. Those appointed as an Area Network Controller (iBus) operate a two-shift system over a 7-day period.
Applicants may be required to conduct an assessment and give short presentation as part of the selection process, should therefore clearly state any dates when not available. The persons appointed will be required to serve a probationary period of up to 12 months before confirmation in the posts.
Please note this position is only open to individuals with proven Service Performance Supervisory experience.
