POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Asset Protection Analytics and Investigations, the Asset Protection Intelligence & Analytics Lead is responsible for transforming the Asset Protection department from a reactive, investigative function into a proactive, intelligence-led organization through advanced analytics, business intelligence, and risk identification. This role requires deep subject-matter expertise, innovative ideas, and a commitment to staying current on leading practices and emerging technologies including AI. The incumbent should also be able to prioritize work autonomously and be unfazed by ambiguity or frequent changes in priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the development and execution of Asset Protection intelligence and analytics strategies that proactively identify emerging risks, fraud trends, operational opportunities, and other sources of retail loss.
- Develop analytical models and reports that identify fraud, operational control gaps, inventory inaccuracies, and other sources of retail loss.
- Identify and champion emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve risk detection, investigative efficiency, process automation, reporting capabilities, and decision support across Asset Protection.
- Partners with IT and stakeholders to determine data feeds and information that could be used to enhance fraud analysis & monitoring or assist with investigations.
- Perform data extraction and analysis from multiple data sources to collect and analyze retail data for analytical auditing and reporting.
- Conduct Inventory Shrink analysis to uncover & mitigate various sources of loss, monitor for patterns & trends, and create strategies to stay ahead of emerging issues.
- Undertake special projects upon request.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Years of experience: 6+ years of leading technical initiatives and data analytics, preferably focused on fraud risk.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Experience in building, editing, and maintaining PowerBI dashboards, serving as the primary point of contact for the Asset Protection team on reporting-related needs.
- Collaborative and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills to build trust and influence across cross-functional teams in a friendly, inclusive culture.
- Enjoy tackling complex challenges with limited information and proactively seek creative solutions.
- Excellent skills with analyzing data, drawing actionable insights, identifying patterns, and communicating results.
- Basic knowledge of database structure and language.
- Proficient with MS Office suite (excel, word & PowerPoint a must).
- Project management, time management, and multi-tasking are essential skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
