Job Summary
Participate in the development, teaching, organization, and evaluation of Adult Health, Psychiatric Mental Health, Pediatrics, Maternity, and/or Community Health Adult Health (didactic & clinical). Participate in the development, teaching, organization, and evaluation of clinical and didactic education for graduate and undergraduate nursing students. Advise and evaluate students in clinical settings, including conducting site visits to preceptor locations. Build/maintain collaborative interdisciplinary relationships within the school, college, university and in the community. Maintain active scholarship. Participate in faculty governance. Provide service to the school, university, and profession. Develop and implement curricula in order to prepare students adequately for the challenges presented within all aspects of the nursing field. Participate in the development, teaching, organization, and evaluation of clinical and/or didactic education for graduate nursing students’ capstone practicum and/or DNP project to facilitate the transition from nursing student to nurse leader.
Authority and Accountability
Reports to Debra Webster, School of Nursing Director. No direct reports. No supervisory or budgetary responsibility or authority.
