As Associate Business Director at dentsu X, you'll lead key client partnerships and turn those possibilities into action. You'll shape digital media strategy, bring together expertise across programmatic, paid media, creators, ecommerce, and community, and develop recommendations that create value for clients while growing the business.

The opportunity is to know your clients' businesses well enough to see what's next, and have the strategic, digital, and commercial judgment to make it happen.

What You'll Do

• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, understand their business priorities, and translate them into relevant media solutions and clear recommendations.
• Identify ways to expand existing accounts, develop proposals, and build the case for new solutions and additional investment.
• Lead strategic workshops, connecting audience insights, consumer journeys, and brand priorities to media roles, channel choices, and actionable recommendations.
• Define frameworks that connect media activity to brand and business objectives, aligning clients and specialists on KPIs, reporting priorities, and how results inform decisions.
• Align forecast assumptions, review checkpoints, and optimisation decisions. Communicate performance risks clearly and distinguish estimates from guaranteed outcomes.
• Partner with media platforms and specialists across paid media, programmatic, creators, ecommerce, and community touchpoints to develop connected solutions around client needs.
• Oversee account revenue, budgets, delivery quality, and client commitments, balancing strong client service with commercial performance.
• Turn complex performance and commercial discussions into clear recommendations, agreed responsibilities, and practical next steps. Give teams direction, coach their development, and maintain high standards of delivery.

A Bit About You

• Significant experience in digital media, integrated media, or digital marketing, with a strong track record of leading complex client relationships.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders, facilitating strategic workshops, and influencing decisions through credible recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of digital media and programmatic, with the ability to connect strategy, investment, and performance to business outcomes.
• Comfortable with measurement frameworks, forecasting, and campaign governance, and able to translate complex data into clear client narratives.
• Commercially sharp, with experience growing existing accounts, developing proposals, and managing account financials.
• Experienced in leading teams and coordinating specialists across multiple priorities without losing sight of client outcomes.
• A proactive business partner who combines sound judgment, strong relationships, and a clear sense of where the next opportunity lies.
