About College Board
College Board is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization that aims to clear a path for all students to own their futures. We focus on expanding access to higher education and helping students develop the skills they need for college and career readiness. We serve 7 million students annually– a reach unparalleled in a fragmented sector.
At a moment when AI is transforming education and work, College Board is investing in work-based learning as a critical pathway for students to build durable skills — collaboration, communication, and problem solving — that technology cannot replace.
College Board acquired District C and its flagship program, Teamship, its first programmatic acquisition in over 20 years (learn more here). This acquisition reflects College Board’s commitment to exploring bold ideas that bridge K–12, higher education, and career, complementing time-tested programs like AP and SAT.
We are building a team to scale the Teamship program so more students have access to high-quality work-based learning.
About Teamship

- Hands-on learning with employers and experiences that build the skills technology can’t replace
- World-class professional learning to support educators
- Employer partnership model that makes it simpler to engage with high schools
- Better access for more students with program delivery through schools

How You Operate
- You have a get-it-done mindset and strong sense of ownership; when something needs to happen, you take responsibility for driving it forward from start to finish.
- You bring a bias toward action, urgency, and results, with the ability to stay calm and focused when outcomes depend on factors outside your direct control.
- You enjoy fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can flexibly reprioritize to adjust as needs evolve.
- You have strong organizational and project management skills, including follow-through, clear communication, and proactive coordination.
- You get satisfaction from checking items off the list.
How You Communicate
- You have a natural ability to connect with people and move them into action, engaging a wide range of audiences from small businesses to senior leaders to educators.
- You build trust quickly, communicate clearly, and know how to tailor your message to the audience in real time.
- You’re confident talking to new people and energized by external outreach, with excitement about serving as an ambassador for Teamship and its mission.
How You Problem Solve
- You bring a creative, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and enjoy finding another path when the obvious one is blocked.
- You’re intrinsically motivated by solving the puzzle, making the right match, and seeing meaningful outcomes through, even when the work gets complex or barriers pop up.
- You can think strategically about what needs to happen next while also executing at the task level, rolling up your sleeves and pitching in when needed.
How You Like to Work
- You have a deep belief in young people, a strong connection to student impact, and genuine excitement about work that expands educational access and opportunity.
- You enjoy being in a supportive environment that celebrates wins and values genuine collaboration.
- You work well in a remote (or hybrid) environment, and you’re willing to travel on behalf of College Board three to five times per year.
All roles at College Board require:
- A passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, with a willingness to experiment with and adopt new AI-driven solutions and comfort with learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively.
- Clear and concise communication skills, written and verbal
- A learner's mindset and a commitment to growth: welcoming diverse perspectives, giving and receiving timely, respectful feedback, and continuously improving through iterative learning and user input.
- A drive for impact and excellence: solving complex problems, making data-informed decisions, prioritizing what matters most, and continuously improving through learning, user input, and external benchmarking.
- A collaborative and empathetic approach: working across differences, fostering trust, and contributing to a culture of shared success
- Authorization to work in the United States
