Primary Responsibilities:
We're hiring an Associate Social & Community Manager to help shape, build, and grow MadeGood's presence across social media communities. This isn't a traditional community management role. It's an opportunity to help define how a beloved brand shows up in culture, build relationships with consumers in real time, and establish the voice, behaviors, and systems that will power MadeGood's community strategy for years to come.
MadeGood has a passionate and growing fanbase. We're looking for someone who is genuinely obsessed with social media, internet culture, emerging platforms, creators, trends, and the conversations shaping what people care about today. You'll be expected to live at the intersection of culture, community, and content, constantly identifying opportunities for MadeGood to participate in relevant conversations, show up in unexpected places, and build authentic connections with consumers.
In this role, you'll serve as both the frontline voice of the brand and a cultural scout, spotting emerging communities, trends, creators, and moments that can help make MadeGood relevant, relatable, and lovable. You'll help create the infrastructure, guidelines, and processes that enable best-in-class community management while working cross-functionally across Social, Brand, Creative, PR, Customer Experience, and agency partners to bring ideas to life.
Approximately 70% of this role will focus on community management and social media support. The remaining 30% will support broader brand communications initiatives, including influencer programs, PR, partnerships, experiential activations, and special projects. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Brand Communications, and working closely with the Social & Influencer Marketing Manager, you'll own day-to-day community engagement and support social content execution while gaining exposure to the broader brand communications function.
Community Management & Engagement
- Serve as the frontline voice of MadeGood, engaging with consumers in a friendly, thoughtful, timely, and on-brand way.
- Own daily community engagement across MadeGood’s social platforms, including comments, direct messages, mentions, and tagged content.
- Proactively engage in relevant cultural and community conversations where MadeGood can participate authentically.
- Identify highly engaged fans, advocates, creators, and potential community partners.
- Build meaningful relationships with community members by identifying opportunities to engage beyond standard responses.
- Monitor consumer conversations, questions, feedback, and sentiment, escalating sensitive or complex issues when appropriate.
- Partner closely with Customer Experience to ensure consistent responses, seamless handoffs, and timely issue resolution.
- Help maintain and evolve community management guidelines, response templates, brand voice standards, and escalation processes.
Social Content Support & Publishing
- Support the scheduling and publishing of organic social content under the direction of the Social & Influencer Marketing Manager.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure posts are accurate, properly formatted, tagged correctly, and published on time.
- Help maintain the social content calendar, tracking assets, approvals, publishing dates, and campaign milestones.
- Support the execution of platform-native social content, including light editing, formatting, filming, and content capture as needed.
- Assist with sourcing community content, user-generated content, and social-first creative opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to collect the assets and information required for social publishing.
- Stay current on platform features, best practices, emerging formats, and changes across Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and other relevant channels.
Community-Led Content, Insights & Programs
- Identify opportunities to amplify user-generated content, customer stories, product love, and community-led moments.
- Monitor social conversations, brand sentiment, share of voice, cultural trends, competitor activity, and platform behavior to help keep MadeGood relevant and responsive.
- Coordinate Surprise & Delight initiatives, giveaways, product seeding and gifting, community appreciation programs, including recipient communication, product coordination, shipping, tracking, and follow-up.
- Help manage inbound creator, partnership, and community requests, routing opportunities to the appropriate team members.
- Capture and share recurring community questions, feedback, insights, and content opportunities with the broader marketing team.
- Support monthly social reporting by tracking topline community management and organic social KPIs, maintaining reporting trackers, and surfacing notable trends and learnings to the Social & Influencer Marketing Manager.
- Support social listening and sentiment reporting around campaigns, product launches, and key brand moments.
Brand Communications Support & Special Projects
- Support the execution of broader brand communications programs, including influencer campaigns, PR initiatives, partnerships, experiential activations, product launches, and events.
- Help coordinate campaign timelines, assets, approvals, product shipments and cross-functional deliverables.
- Conduct research on consumers, competitors, cultural trends, creators, media opportunities, and potential brand partners.
- Assist with developing presentations, briefs, campaign recaps, performance reports, and other internal materials.
- Support project tracking by documenting action items, maintaining timelines, organizing working sessions, and following up on deliverables.
- Jump into priority projects across Brand Communications as business needs evolve.
Education and Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in social media, community management or brand communications.
- Experience using social publishing, community management, listening, or analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms.
- Comfort working in PowerPoint, Excel, and Canva; familiarity with basic photo or video editing tools is an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
- Deep passion for social media, internet culture, emerging platforms, creators, and online communities, with a natural instinct for spotting what's next before it becomes mainstream.
- Ability to identify cultural moments, trends, conversations, and communities where MadeGood can authentically participate and create value.
- Strong point of view on social content, platform behaviors, and what makes brands relevant in culture.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with excitement for building processes and infrastructure from the ground up.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and workstreams at once.
- Sound judgment and confidence identifying when consumer questions or issues should be escalated.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with Social, Brand, Customer Experience, Creative, PR, and agency partners.
- A proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented approach, with an eagerness to learn and grow within social and brand marketing.

At Riverside, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation and job posting practices. The range above reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. Exact compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education, and training, as well as other organizational needs, while balancing internal equity.
What we expect:
- Values-led: You’ll be a member of a thoughtful and compassionate team that prioritizes respect, teamwork and resourcefulness along with a good dash of fun. Sometimes, even making granola bars is hard, and life’s too short to take ourselves so seriously that we don’t enjoy the journey.
- Unparalleled experiences and opportunities: We’re still determining who we are and what we can be. Help us shape what this organization will look like and what we’ll offer the world, into the future. This means rolling up your sleeves and sometimes building the process – fast! – while employing it. At Riverside, progress occasionally means proceeding imperfectly, and we’re okay with that, as long as we’re staying true to our values and learning and improving along the way.
- Access to everyone: We’re a flat organization with few silos which means you’ll have full access to everyone from our founders to our production staff. Even when employees dress up, they wear steel-toed shoes. So don’t be shy. Speak up, share your ideas and go places you normally wouldn’t – like the plant, or the boardroom.
- Personal development: We’ll support and empower you to chart your own path and reach any heights you set for yourself. Career paths at Riverside are carved by the people walking on them, not dictated by leaders. Count on us to give you the training and tools to grow and progress.
- Gratitude: As a growing business, we can’t always offer formal recognition like awards programs, but we do show our true gratitude and appreciation. At Riverside, we’re all in this together and we value you.
- Be a Riverside Brand Ambassador: Stay relentlessly close to our consumers and represent the brand in every interaction, decision, and deliverable. Bring the consumer voice into your work by protecting product quality, availability, and experience, acting early when standards slip, and delivering consistent value that earns trust, advocacy, and long-term brand love.
What We Offer:
- Values-led: We don’t cut corners or step on anyone or anything on our way to our summit. There is no winning at all costs here. Every step you take must align with our values, no compromises.
- Courageous determination: As a family-run, rapidly growing business, we are often challenged to find ways to deliver that aren’t obvious or easy. You must be willing to try, ask and answer challenging questions, test and learn, turn over every stone, keep moving forward and help us find a way through. Resourcefulness and grit will be your constant companions at Riverside and will serve you well.
- Humility: We’re a small (but growing) fish in a sea of whales and sharks. We know the products we offer are some of the healthiest and most sustainable, but we don’t brag about it, and know we have a steep path ahead. We pride ourselves in being respectful and supportive of others while shining brightly through our innovative, high-quality products. There isn’t one superstar at Riverside. We take turns leading the way as we climb to the summit.
- Continuous improvement: As a learn-as-we-go organization, we rely on each other to continuously improve everything we touch to make it better, more efficient, more sustainable, and more endearing to customers, consumers, employees, vendors, partners and the community. We own our mistakes and learn from them as we wind our way to the top.
