Associate Veterinarian - Mt. Scott Animal Clinic

Are you passionate about practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, team-focused environment; one where you'll actually leave on time and laugh along the way? Mt. Scott Animal Clinic, located in the heart of Portland, Oregon, is looking to welcome a full-time or part-time veterinarian to our thriving practice! As our third doctor, you'll join a collaborative group that truly values relationships with clients, pets, and one another.

About Us

Mt. Scott Animal Clinic has been proudly serving the Portland community for over 50 years. We're known for delivering exceptional care with compassion, respect, and integrity. Our experienced team of DVMs and support staff are dedicated to providing modern, thoughtful medicine in a culture that emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and genuine connection.

We also don't take ourselves too seriously. A good sense of humor isn't just welcome here; it's practically a job requirement! Laughter, teamwork, and looking out for each other are part of our daily routine, and it shows: doctors help each other with cases, technicians and our cross-trained receptionists pitch in wherever needed, and no one is on an island.

What Makes Us Different:

• Real Work-Life Balance: Our doctors leave on time, every day. We build scheduled blocks into the day for catching up on records and cases, so work doesn't follow you home.
• A Genuinely Fun Culture: From staff parties to our twice-yearly Veterinary Olympics, we make time to celebrate and compete together, not just clock in and out.
• Giving Back Together: We're active volunteers with organizations like the Street Dog Coalition, and we're proud to support World Vets globally, because caring for animals doesn't stop at our doors.
• Fear Free Certified Team: Our entire staff is Fear Free Certified, so low-stress, compassionate handling is how we approach every appointment.
• A Team That Has Your Back: Everyone pitches in. It's a “we figure it out together” kind of place, not a “that's not my job” one.

What We Offer

• Highly Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary plus monthly production bonus with no negative accrual.
• Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverage with company HSA contributions, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous paid time off, annual CE allowance, license and liability coverage, and more.
• Flexible Scheduling: Rotating Saturday shifts with every Sunday off so you can enjoy everything Portland has to offer.
• Freedom to Practice Your Way: No corporate protocols or mandatory formularies. We trust our doctors to make the best decisions for their patients.
