The Automation and Digitalization Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving automated production systems. This role includes PLC programming, enhancing SCADA and HMI systems, supporting digitalization initiatives, and integrating communication protocols to improve operational efficiency. The engineer will also troubleshoot automated production lines and support upgrades to existing machinery.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
PLC programming (e.g., Siemens S7, Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley) for new installed or running production machinery
Improvement of SCADA and HMI systems
Providing AI, digitalization and communication protocols (ProfNet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP) to production machinery for efficiency and sustainability
VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and instrumentation development for old machines
Troubleshooting automated production lines and robotics
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, automation engineering or relevant engineering fields
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in maintenance and software systems
Strong verbal and written English language skills
Ability to live in Istanbul & Kocaeli

Strong technical expertise in automation, digitalization and AI applications
Demonstrated ability to analyze supplier quality issues and drive effective root cause resolution
Experience with supplier audits, NCR management, and corrective action processes
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to plan, document, and execute quality improvement initiatives
Effective cross-functional and supplier engagement skill
Having Siemens, Beckhoff or ABB PLC, Drive training certification is preferred
