About Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
Purpose:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing vision, planning, leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of Airport Systems (building maintenance systems, technical systems, and maintenance services such as electrical, electronic, HVAC, central plant, plumbing, and baggage systems) at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). This position is responsible for the continual safety, sustainability, efficiency, and continuity of systems maintenance.

Responsible for the full range of management and supervisory activities: selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
• Design, evaluate, integrate, secure, testing, and maintaining of all hardware and software technologies.
• Assist in defining, developing, and implementing disaster recovery plans and test plans.
• Analyze, integrate, recommend, communicate, and support design solutions to resolve more complex OT supported systems.
• Assist with planning, forecasting, budgeting, procuring and implementing new Airport OT systems to include the retirement of existing systems and components.
• Coordinate and communicate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Airport OT systems and components with customer departments aligning with FAR Part 139.
• Ensure equipment is installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Monitor services provided by vendors to ensure service levels are met.
• Monitor and assist in management of equipment inventory
• Implement network security procedures and ensure compliance of all security policies, procedures and standards
Salary:
$121,600 - $227,000 annual
DRIVING REQUIREMENT:
This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and the individual will be required to drive a City vehicle. Position will also be required to drive on the AOA.
This position requires a Valid Texas Class C Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. Job Offer is contingent on having a driving record that meets the City’s Driver Record Evaluation Standards.

Overtime may be required with or without notice.
WORK HOURS:
Core hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm. Schedules may vary based on operational needs and are subject to change.
Hours may change depending on departmental needs.
