Long Wall Company was created in 2024 to accelerate missile defense technology for the U.S. and our allies. We specialize in ballistic missile defense and are developing Cyclops, a low-cost, mass-producible interceptor. We also produce containerized launchers and offer low-cost targets for threat replication. The future of global security depends on defensive technology that redefines cost, magazine depth, and distribution to deter and defend against evolving threats. Join us.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Mission-Driven Problem Solvers – The problems in missile defense demand ingenuity. We want engineers who approach challenges with curiosity, embrace failure as a learning opportunity, and stay focused on delivering the best solution for the mission.
Total Ownership – We seek engineers who take full responsibility for delivering flight-ready work while recognizing that no one succeeds alone. The best engineers make their teammates better, knowing that complementary skills create force multiplication and drive mission success.

- Lead system design reviews, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Develop test plans for component and system qualification, analyzing data to verify performance.
- Specify, evaluate, and test avionics components, including batteries, motors, integrated circuits, and sensors.
- Define and maintain system and interface requirements across vehicle subsystems.
- Design avionics hardware, including schematic development and PCB layout.
- Serve as the responsible engineer for one or more avionics systems.
- Propose and drive the development of next-generation avionics products.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing, integration, and operational issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE) or similar from an accredited university
- 2+ years of experience in the development of aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, or similar electronic/avionic systems
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience developing, integrating, and testing avionics or electronic systems for aircraft, missiles, or spacecraft
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer) for schematic capture and layout
- Strong grounding in electrical fundamentals, circuit design, and analysis
- Experience defining and managing system and interface requirements across subsystems
- Ability to plan and execute component- and system-level qualification testing and analyze results
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience with PCB design software (preferably Altium Designer) for schematic capture, layout, simulation, and fulfillment.
- Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., NX).
- Experience with circuit design and analysis tools (e.g., LTSpice) and simulation.
- Proven track record of qualifying avionics systems for spaceflight.
- Experience developing or architecting systems to meet government regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in avionics system design and execution
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer to complete assignments
