This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AVP, Corporate Partnerships based in United States.
This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on managing and expanding a significant portfolio of corporate partnerships.
The role oversees multiple partnership teams and a portfolio generating more than $15 million in annual revenue.
You will shape account management strategies, strengthen executive relationships, negotiate complex agreements, and drive renewals and upgrades.
The position combines people leadership, strategic account management, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work closely with senior leaders and teams across research, advocacy, marketing, legal, finance, and field operations.
The role offers substantial influence over partnership strategy, revenue growth, partner engagement, and long-term organizational impact.
This is a national remote position with approximately 40% travel, including occasional overnight, evening, and weekend commitments.
Lead and develop teams responsible for corporate partnerships, industry partnerships, and a major strategic partnership portfolio, establishing clear goals, accountability standards, and development plans.
Oversee a combined partnership portfolio generating more than $15 million annually, implementing strategies to strengthen retention, renewals, upgrades, and overall revenue growth.
Develop and implement an enterprise-wide account management framework that promotes consistent partner experiences and structured opportunities for portfolio expansion.
Personally manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, building relationships with senior corporate executives and serving as an escalation point for complex or high-value negotiations.
Guide strategic account planning across national partnerships, including executive relationship mapping, cross-selling, upselling, multi-year agreements, and alignment between partner objectives and organizational priorities.
Provide strategic oversight of high-touch partnerships, ensuring appropriate executive engagement, investment, coordination, and delivery against commitments.
Lead or support contract and agreement negotiations in collaboration with legal and internal stakeholders while protecting organizational interests and maintaining productive partner relationships.
Partner with corporate development leadership to establish criteria and processes for transitioning new partners into long-term account management structures.
Coordinate with research, advocacy, marketing, communications, legal, finance, and field teams to ensure partnership benefits and commitments are delivered effectively and on schedule.
Work with field teams, local staff, and volunteers to deepen partner engagement through events, initiatives, and regional opportunities.
Monitor portfolio health indicators such as renewal rates, upgrade rates, revenue per partner, and pipeline coverage, using dashboards and reporting to support executive decision-making.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the corporate partnerships portfolio, monitoring revenue performance and expense controls.
Stay informed about corporate social responsibility, cause marketing, ESG trends, and developments in corporate philanthropy to identify partnership opportunities and inform strategy.
10+ years of experience in corporate partnership management, nonprofit sales, account management, or a related field within a matrixed organization.
Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar partnership or revenue portfolios.
5+ years of leadership or people-management experience, with a track record of developing teams and achieving revenue objectives.
Strong expertise in consultative account management, contract negotiation, partnership renewals, upgrades, and revenue growth.
Experience managing diverse partnership portfolios, including national accounts, industry-specific relationships, and high-touch strategic partnerships.
Proven ability to develop strategic account plans that connect organizational priorities with partner business objectives, measurable value, and mission impact.
Strong knowledge of corporate social responsibility, cause marketing, and nonprofit corporate philanthropy; healthcare or disease-related experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, establish accountability structures, deliver partnership commitments, and resolve complex issues.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills, including experience engaging senior corporate executives and volunteer stakeholders.
Experience managing operational budgets, forecasts, program revenue, and expense controls.
Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365; experience creating dashboards and analytical tools is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time, including overnight trips, and work some evenings and weekends.

Target salary range of $145,000–$185,000 USD.
