As an AWS Modernization Specialist - Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving software and product innovation within our Technology Consulting practice. You will leverage your skills in software engineering to deliver impactful solutions that meet client needs. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and navigating complex situations to deliver quality work. You will guide and mentor others, using your professional skills to analyze complex concepts and develop a deeper understanding of the business context.

Responsibilities

- Developing and implementing software solutions using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, and C#
- Managing the application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Utilizing microservices architecture to enhance system scalability and performance
- Conducting code reviews to maintain coding standards and improve software quality
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
- Applying continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices to streamline software development processes
- Designing and maintaining RESTful APIs for seamless integration with external systems
- Troubleshooting and debugging software issues to validate smooth operation
- Leading efforts in acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) to validate software functionality
- Engaging in business process improvement initiatives to optimize software solutions
- Building and maintaining client relationships to understand and address their technical needs
- Mentoring junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Computer and Data Engineering, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering
- Demonstrating proficiency in Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)
- Utilizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies
- Developing applications using Java, Python, or C++ programming languages
- Excelling in API Management and Microservices architecture
- Managing complex software development projects with Agile methodologies
- Building client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving skills

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.

v3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in modernization or transformation.

- Strong proficiency in microservices architecture design and implementation.

- Hands-on experience with monolith decomposition (strangler fig, branch-by-abstraction) and database separation.

- Strong backend development skills with Java, Python, Node.js, or equivalent.

- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs on Lambda using SAM and API Gateway.

- Experience with event-driven architectures (SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions).

- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Fargate).

- Understanding of database modernization patterns, DMS, and SCT.

- Familiarity with service discovery (Cloud Map) and service mesh (App Mesh) concepts.

- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical decisions.

- Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Practices.
