The Protiviti Career provides opportunity to learn, inspire, and advance within a collaborative and inclusive culture.  We hire curious individuals for whom learning is a passion. We lean into our mission: We Care. We Collaborate. We Deliver.

At every level, we champion leaders who live our values of integrity, inclusion, innovation, and commitment to success. Imagining our work as a journey, we believe integrity guides our way, inclusion moves us forward together, innovation creates new destinations, and our commitment to success empowers us to deliver on our vision to be the most trusted global consulting firm.

Where We Need You

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Consulting Associate Director to join our growing Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security Engineering team.

What You Can Expect

As an Associate Director, you’ll lead complex engagements, strengthen strategic client relationships, and manage technology risk. You’ll develop practical solutions using analytics, automation, and modern tools while ensuring high-quality delivery.

You’ll identify new business, represent Protiviti in the market, and mentor teams while overseeing successful project delivery.

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to provide technical and commercial leadership for our AWS Platform Engineering practice. You will set architectural direction across strategic engagements, guide complex decisions, and step into the highest-risk technical challenges.

Operating beyond a single engagement, you will establish reusable delivery standards, develop engineers and architects, build trusted senior-client relationships, and connect delivery excellence to account growth. The role maintains deep technical credibility and carries a formal sales quota.

What Will Help You Be Successful

• You enjoy leading AWS architecture and delivery.

• You are passionate about building trusted relationships with C-level executives and providing exceptional experiences that translate to additional project work.

• You have an inherent interest in project management and team leadership.

• You promote a positive team culture that fosters open communication among all engagement team members.

• You create development opportunities for others, including participating in the creation and rollout of training, and ways for your team to improve our clients and communities.

• You enjoy discovering prospective project work with current and potential clients through networking, knowledge-building, and client interactions.

• You excel at identifying opportunities to integrate product solutions and resources to improve client service capabilities.

• You view client challenges as opportunities to add value and can translate that into new project proposals and sales.

• You are seen as a valued contributor to thought leadership and encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration across teams.

• You have interest in managing a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries

What Success Looks Like in the First Year

• Is recognized internally and by strategic clients as a senior authority on AWS platform engineering.

• Improves the consistency, quality, and scalability of AWS delivery across the practice.

• Develops stronger Solutions Architects, Senior Cloud Engineers, and Cloud Engineers through active technical leadership.

• Establishes reusable architectures, engineering standards, and delivery approaches adopted across multiple engagements.

• Builds trusted senior-client relationships that result in meaningful follow-on opportunities.

• Achieves commercial expectations while maintaining strong client outcomes and technical integrity.

• Strengthens the connection between AWS alliance activity, pre-sales solutioning, and successful delivery execution.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

• Deep and broad expertise designing, implementing, and governing enterprise AWS environments.

• Demonstrated ability to influence architecture and technology strategy across large or complex organizations.

• Experience leading multiple complex cloud engagements or portfolios of technical work.

• Ability to advise senior executives while retaining credibility with deeply technical engineering teams.

• Significant experience shaping and estimating complex cloud transformation engagements.

• Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and translate them into valuable consulting and engineering engagements.

• Experience developing technical leaders and raising engineering standards across an organization.

• Strong understanding of consulting economics, delivery risk, scope management, and commercial decision making.

• Provide senior technical leadership across the most strategic and complex AWS client engagements.

• Establish architecture direction and engineering standards for AWS Platform Engineering.

• Advise client CIO, CTO, CISO, architecture, infrastructure, and engineering leaders on cloud strategy and major AWS technology decisions.

• Guide Solutions Architects and Senior Cloud Engineers through complex architecture and delivery challenges.

• Review and influence major designs involving AWS infrastructure, networking, security, resilience, migration, modernization, automation, and operating models.

• Intervene directly in high-risk or highly complex delivery situations where senior technical leadership is required.

• Ensure major engagements align with client outcomes, engineering quality standards, security expectations, and sustainable operating models.

• Develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders that lead to continued advisory and engineering opportunities.

• Maintain accountability for an assigned sales quota and contribute directly to pipeline development and conversion.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications
