Join a growing technology team building scalable backend infrastructure and cloud-based systems for products designed to serve customers across multiple countries. In this role, you will take ownership of backend architecture, API development, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability while helping turn business needs into practical technical solutions. You will work closely with founders and cross-functional technology and product teams to develop and launch products for a global market. Your responsibilities will include building robust APIs, integrating third-party services, and managing infrastructure on AWS to support increasing scale and complexity. You will also contribute to establishing quality assurance, testing, and analytics frameworks that improve product reliability and engineering efficiency. Design, develop, maintain, and scale reliable backend APIs to support business and product requirements.
Build and manage integrations with third-party APIs and external services.
Lead backend infrastructure management and DevOps activities using AWS, ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability.
Design and deploy cloud-based systems capable of supporting operations across multiple geographies.
Collaborate closely with founders, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
Contribute to the growth and development of the technology team across DevOps, quality assurance, and software engineering.
Establish and improve quality assurance, testing, and analytics frameworks to strengthen product quality and system performance.
Take ownership of backend architecture and infrastructure decisions, helping shape the technical foundations for future growth.
At least 3 years of professional experience in backend engineering, systems development, or a related technical role.
Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, including designing and maintaining scalable services and APIs.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable NoSQL database technologies.
Practical experience with AWS cloud services, backend infrastructure management, and DevOps practices.
Proven ability to build, deploy, and maintain backend systems, with experience developing systems from scratch considered a strong advantage.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and designing systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.
Familiarity with testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and analytics frameworks.
Frontend development knowledge is an advantage, particularly for collaborating across the full technology stack.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to connect business requirements to technical solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the initiative to take ownership, work effectively across teams, and contribute to technical decision-making.
