Description
The Biosensor team is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to support the development of advanced sensing technologies for medical and diagnostic applications. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, characterisation, development, and testing of metabolite and biomarker sensors, with a particular focus on electrochemical sensing technologies. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve sensor performance, support product development activities, and contribute to the transfer of technology into industrial environments where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience developing metabolite sensors, such as lactate and glucose sensors, together with a strong understanding of electrochemical sensor principles. Experience in biomarker sensor development is also highly desirable, particularly in the context of diagnostic or monitoring applications. Industrial experience in sensor development would be a strong advantage, especially within regulated or product-focused environments. Experience working with blood samples, dissolved gas sensing in aqueous or biological media, and familiarity with ISO 13485 medical device standards would also be beneficial. The candidate should be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
