BUILT ON FLAVOR. FUELED BY PEOPLE.
What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? Well, there’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. Beyond that, there’s also plenty of hard work. Because we don’t just like flavor, we’re obsessed with it.
With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships. Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable.
As we expand globally and approach $1 billion in revenue, we need more smart-and-scrappy, flavor-obsessed people to come aboard. If you’re looking for a place where you can see the real impact of your work... this is it! Every day, you’ll be part of a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives.
About the Role:
We're looking for a Brand Manager who is equal parts strategist, builder, and creator. Someone with a genuine passion for Mexican culture and flavors who thinks like an entrepreneur and loves rolling up their sleeves to build brands from the ground up. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Spanglish by driving growth, leading innovation, and creating meaningful consumer experiences. If you're energized by building brands in fast-moving environments, thrive on solving complex challenges, and aren't afraid to turn big ideas into reality, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about Mexican culture, cuisine, and consumer food trends.
- Entrepreneurial with a builder's mindset and excitement for creating something from the ground up.
- Equally comfortable operating strategically and executing tactically.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and willing to wear multiple hats.
- Creative, curious, and constantly looking for new opportunities to grow the brand.
- Forward-thinking with a growth mindset and a bias toward action.
- Collaborative, humble, and confident enough to challenge ideas while remaining open-minded.
- Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information and moving quickly.
- An exceptional communicator who can influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Business Strategy & Growth
- Develop annual and long-range business plans that drive sustainable brand growth.
- Own and manage brand performance, including P&L responsibility and achievement of financial targets.
- Analyze business performance to identify growth opportunities using consumer insights, syndicated data, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Become the expert on the Mexican-inspired food category, consumer behaviors, competitive landscape, and emerging flavor trends.
- Partner with leadership to establish portfolio priorities, pricing strategies, and business recommendations.
Building a Winning Brand
- Develop integrated marketing plans that strengthen brand awareness, trial, and loyalty.
- Lead seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotions, packaging updates, merchandising, digital content, and consumer activations from strategy through execution.
- Partner with creative agencies and internal teams to deliver compelling storytelling that celebrates the Spanglish brand and its cultural inspiration.
- Collaborate closely with Sales to create customer-specific marketing programs across Grocery, Club, Mass, Foodservice, Convenience, and eCommerce channels.
Drive Innovation
- Identify whitespace opportunities and lead innovation from concept through commercialization.
- Develop consumer insights, positioning, pricing, forecasting, business cases, and launch strategies for new products.
- Evaluate the portfolio to recommend innovation, renovation, or rationalization opportunities that maximize growth.
- Lead cross-functional product launch plans while ensuring flawless execution.
Cross-Functional Business Partnership
- Collaborate with Product Development, Culinary, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Executive Leadership to bring ideas to market.
- Lead cross-functional teams through complex projects while maintaining aggressive timelines.
- Present business performance, innovation strategies, and growth recommendations to senior leadership.
- Help cultivate a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
What Success Will Look Like:
You are passionate about Mexican culture, food, and flavors—not just professionally, but personally. You understand the importance of authenticity and know how to translate cultural insights into products and experiences consumers love.
You combine the strategic thinking of an established brand leader with the hustle and resourcefulness of a startup operator. You're just as comfortable building long-term strategy as you are jumping into the details to get things done.
You thrive in environments where priorities evolve quickly, opportunities emerge unexpectedly, and no two days look the same.
Skills + Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) brand management.
- Experience in innovation, product development, or commercialization is highly preferred.
- Proven success managing brands, portfolios, or categories while delivering measurable business growth.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls and developing business cases.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience using syndicated data (IRI/Circana preferred).
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, category management, pricing strategy, and competitive analysis.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams from concept through execution.
- Excellent project management skills with experience launching new products in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills.
Pay Transparency:
The expected starting salary range for this role is $125,000- $145,000 per year. The salary range posted for this role reflects the good-faith base pay range Kinder’s reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting and may vary based on the location of the role. Individual compensation within the posted range will be determined based on factors such as relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs.
SEASONED FOR SUCCESS:
- No two days here are the same.
- We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don’t live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here.
- We make a lot of decisions in the face of incomplete information – our team embraces ambiguity and tries to make good decisions fast rather than great decisions slow.
- We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk.
- We believe in growing our skills and becoming a better company with more managerial expertise, but we are an entrepreneurial company at heart.
- We aren’t trying to be average – we want to do exceptional things, and we are willing to work hard to achieve them.
BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE:
We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Kinder’s benefits vary based on eligibility and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.
OUR RECIPE FOR BALANCE:
We believe great culture starts with people. We’re a people-first company built on connection, collaboration, and balance. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments.
