Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
What this job involves - JLL's Technical Development Program (TDP) is a commercially licensed enterprise engineering training product — 56 SCORM-ready e-learning modules covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, and critical environments — and JREDD is its named sales arm. The Business Development Manager for TDP is a dedicated hunter responsible for identifying, qualifying, and advancing commercial opportunities for the TDP product family across JLL's priority verticals.
This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility role at the intersection of workforce development, facilities management, and enterprise B2B sales. The right candidate will have a track record closing complex, high-value deals with operational and L&D buyers at large enterprises, a genuine curiosity for how buildings work, and the credibility to earn trust with engineering and HR leaders alike.
JREDD provides the sales engine; JLL's Engineering Center of Excellence delivers. No direct delivery burden sits with this role. Success is measured in signed contracts and pipeline health.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The Technical Development Program was built internally by JLL engineers for JLL engineers, then commercialized for the first time in 2025 with external users who needed the same training for their on-site facility managers and engineers.
TDP is the only vendor-neutral, multi-trade, enterprise-ready engineering training curriculum commercially available as a licensable product. There is no competing product.
What is your day-to-day?
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
Client Engagement and Qualification
Proposal Development and Deal Execution
• Develop tailored TDP proposals covering tier selection (Tier 1 digital or Tier 2 with onsite proctoring), module scope, pricing model (one-time, phased, or subset), and delivery timeline
• Partner with JREDD leadership and JLL's Engineering COE to ensure technical accuracy and delivery feasibility in proposals
• Manage contract execution in coordination with JREDD operations and JLL legal, using the established Training Materials Sale Agreement framework
• Close opportunities against quarterly and annual revenue targets
Sales Enablement and Go-to-Market Execution
• Contribute to the development and refinement of TDP sales materials — one-pager, pricing playbook, objection-handling guide, and competitive positioning content
• Maintain accurate opportunity records in Salesforce per TSSO naming conventions, including stage, value, and probability
• Deliver regular pipeline updates to JREDD leadership as part of the weekly update cadence
• Represent TDP at industry conferences, trade associations (IFMA, BOMA, ASHRAE), and client events where relevant
Market Intelligence
• Monitor competitive developments in enterprise technical training and edtech (OEM training programs, industry body certifications, competitor FM-as-training-product plays)
• Gather and synthesize voice-of-client feedback to inform TDP product roadmap decisions (module additions, pricing model evolution, subscription model development)
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field
• 5+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience with demonstrated ability to close complex, high-value contracts ($200K+ deal size)
• Experience selling to senior operational, HR/L&D, or real estate leaders at large enterprises (2,000+ employees)
• Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM for pipeline management and reporting
• Ability to travel up to 30% for client meetings, site visits, and industry events
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — capable of adapting from cold outreach to executive-level presentations
Preferred
• Background in enterprise learning technology, workforce development, technical training, or edtech sales (SCORM, LMS, L&D buyer relationships)
• Familiarity with facilities management, building systems, or engineering operations — enough to earn credibility with Chief Engineers and VP Facilities buyers
• Prior experience in a professional services firm, real estate services company, or managed services environment
• Knowledge of one or more TDP priority verticals: Healthcare, Industrial, Data Centers, Financial Services
• Experience navigating enterprise procurement and legal processes, including MSA and SOW execution
• Existing relationships within IFMA, BOMA, or similar FM industry associations
WHAT WE OFFER
• The opportunity to build and lead a nascent commercial sales function for a product with $8M revenue potential and no direct competitor in the market
• A company-backed, product-approved sales mandate — TDP is formally sanctioned by TSSO leadership and ready to activate
• Close collaboration with JLL's Real Estate Due Diligence (JREDD) leadership team, a globally recognized practice
• Competitive base salary, performance bonus tied to TDP revenue closed, and full JLL benefits package
• Access to JLL's existing account base of ~209 target-vertical accounts as a prospecting foundation
