About Vibes
At Vibes, we're redefining how enterprise brands connect with their customers through mobile. Vibes helps marketing, loyalty, and customer experience professionals at the world's most respected brands create personal, revenue-driving, and long-term mobile engagement between consumers and the brands they love. Industry leaders like Chipotle, Ulta, and Polo Ralph Lauren use Vibes to activate and grow customer relationships with timely, relevant, high-volume mobile messaging at a global scale.
Our intelligent mobile engagement platform enables marketers to seamlessly connect with their customers using a data-rich, API-packed platform that beautifully optimizes and unifies their SMS, MMS, RCS, and Mobile Wallet campaigns. Vibes has been recognized in 2026 as a Built In Best Hybrid Places to Work.
The Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Representative who is equal parts operator, relationship builder, and student of the enterprise marketer. You’ll help build the AI-driven, automated outbound programs that create pipeline for our Platform sales team. You’ll also be the face of Vibes at the industry events where our buyers spend their time.
This is not a 100-dials-a-day role. You’ll use agentic workflows and automation to reach the right brands at scale. When an account deserves more than a sequence, you’ll write something only a person could write.
Events are where this role comes to life. You’ll travel to conferences and Vibes-hosted gatherings across the country. You’ll meet marketing, loyalty, and CX leaders from some of the most recognized consumer brands in the world, and turn a hallway conversation into a real relationship. The best version of this role is someone a brand leader remembers by name after a three-day conference, and is glad to hear from afterward.
You’ll report to our Director of Revenue Operations. That means close exposure to how Vibes builds its go-to-market systems, from HubSpot to AI agents. That makes this role a strong fit for someone who wants to grow toward a quota-carrying seat, or toward the operations and technology side of revenue.
What You’ll Do
- Build and run automated, AI-driven outbound programs targeting enterprise brands in QSR, retail, and other consumer verticals, combining agentic workflows with targeted manual outreach.
- Write creative, one-to-one outreach for high-value accounts when the moment calls for it, whether that’s a sharp observation about their latest campaign, a personalized video, or a follow-up they’ll actually remember.
- Research target accounts and buyer personas so outreach reflects each brand’s marketing priorities, mobile maturity, and current messaging stack.
- Represent Vibes at conferences and events by working the floor, starting conversations, building genuine connections, and securing next steps.
- Plan your event strategy before you arrive, including who you want to meet, how you’ll get on their calendar, and how you’ll follow up so the conversation keeps going.
- Learn our story well enough to explain why SMS, MMS, RCS, and Mobile Wallet matter to a brand trying to win consumer mindshare.
- Hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives with the context they need to move quickly.
- Keep HubSpot current and accurate; your activity, contacts, and meetings should be data the team can trust.
- Measure what’s working across campaigns and channels, and adjust based on results rather than instinct.
- Partner with Revenue Operations to test new tools, prompts, and automations, and share what you learn with the sales team.
- Consistently meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline goals.
- Travel to conferences and in-person events as needed, up to 50% of the time.
Who You Are
An Operator, Not Just an Activity Machine
- You’ve used AI and automation tools to do real prospecting work, and you can walk us through what you built and what it produced.
- You think in systems; when something works, your first instinct is to make it repeatable.
- You understand pipeline is the goal and automation is the means, and you hold yourself to the number.
Curious, Creative, and a Little Quirky
- You’re genuinely curious about people, and you ask the second and third question.
- You bring some personality to your work; people remember talking to you, and your messages don’t sound like everyone else’s.
- You can write the email that gets a reply when the template won’t, and you know when it’s worth the extra effort.
- You notice things about a brand, from a new loyalty launch to a clever text campaign, and use them to start a conversation.
At Your Best in a Room Full of People
- You look forward to walking into a conference, not just getting through it.
- You can approach someone you’ve never met, find common ground quickly, and tell whether there’s a real opportunity worth pursuing.
- You connect one on one; people walk away from a conversation with you feeling heard, not pitched.
- You follow up reliably, because a great conversation at an event only matters if it goes somewhere.
Curious About the Marketer’s World
- You want to understand how enterprise marketing and loyalty teams operate, including their pressures, their metrics, and the tools they juggle.
- You’re eager to learn mobile messaging, from high-volume SMS to RCS, and to connect it to outcomes a brand cares about.
Coachable, Resilient, and Hungry
- You’re self-directed and action-oriented; you don’t need external motivation to do excellent work.
- You take direct feedback well and can talk honestly about mistakes and what you learned from them.
- You stay positive and steady when a campaign underperforms or an event is slow.
Requirements & Qualifications
-
1-2 years in sales development, business development, marketing operations, or RevOps, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI and automation tools for prospecting, research, or campaign execution.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline or activity goals.
- Strong command of HubSpot (preferred) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Martech, QSR, or retail technology experience is a plus.
- Creative, engaging, and purposeful written communication, with examples you’d be proud to share.
- Experience representing a company at conferences, trade shows, or in-person events is a strong plus.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time for conferences and in-person events.
- Currently located in the Chicago area and authorized to work in the United States.
Our Core Values:
- Respect, Honesty, and Integrity for All Stakeholders
- Always be Learning
- Relentless Focus on the Customer
- Never be Satisfied
- Create Value
- Seek Accountability and Ownership
