Reporting to the CAPEX Category Manager, you as a Sr Buyer CAPEX will be responsible for managing indirect procurement activities and CAPEX projects across Littelfuse’s Industrial Business Unit facilities in North America, with a focus on the major manufacturing sites in Piedras Negras and Matamoros, Mexico. You will play a key role in strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost reduction, and the execution of savings initiatives to improve procurement performance and competitiveness.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Plant Operations, and other internal stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, optimize the supplier base, negotiate competitive commercial terms, and ensure reliable supply. You will also drive annual cost reduction targets, monitor procurement KPIs, and ensure compliance with Littelfuse’s indirect procurement policies.

About the Job:

• Lead sourcing projects across indirect procurement categories, consolidating and rationalizing the supplier base to improve costs and strengthen sourcing strategies.
• Develop and implement plant-specific sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable, competitive, and sustainable supply base.
• Manage supplier performance in cost, quality, and delivery, conducting regular business reviews with key suppliers and identifying opportunities to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Develop and execute annual cost reduction plans to achieve established savings targets, leveraging cost models, commercial negotiations, and supplier optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to identify and implement cost-saving projects, ensuring timely execution and measurable results.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across Littelfuse’s Industrial Business Unit facilities in North America to align procurement strategies with business and operational needs.
• Monitor, analyze, and report procurement KPIs, savings performance, and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Mexico’s Indirect Procurement Policy and established procurement processes.
• Travel to Matamoros as required to support sourcing initiatives, stakeholder collaboration, and procurement projects.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or purchasing.
• Strong experience in CAPEX procurement and project management.
• Knowledge of suppliers and market conditions in northern Mexico.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and supplier performance management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience developing cost models, evaluating commercial proposals, and identifying savings opportunities.
• Experience with SAP and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other procurement reporting tools.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-management skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement, cost optimization, and supply chain performance.
