About the role

MSS Security is seeking Escort Security Officers who hold or are eligible for a Positive Vetting Clearance to join our team at a high-profile data centre in Melbourne.

Employees holding a Positive Vetting Clearance will receive a competitive allowance of up to $20,000 per year.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Escort and monitor visitors and contractors while they are within security restricted areas.
• Ensure all visitors and contractors remain within authorised areas and maintain line of sight.
• Verify and confirm visitor identification prior to granting access to secure areas and maintain visitor logs.
• Inspect visitor belongings in accordance with site procedures.
• Challenge and report any unauthorised persons, suspicious behaviour or security breaches in accordance with site procedures.
• Report equipment faults in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements:

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Hold or willing to obtain a Positive Vetting Clearance.
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
• 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
• Ability to walk up to 15,000 steps per shift as part of routine patrols.
• Must be able to supply background information including (but not limited to) referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
