Clinical Director (Center-Based) | $115K-$125K Base
Full-Time | No Weekends | No Travel
Are you ready to lead a team where every day means real progress for a child? Where a BCBA helps a toddler communicate for the first time, or a Behavior Therapist turns a tough Tuesday into a breakthrough? That's what leading a center at ANNA feels like.
ANNA (Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement) is where compassion meets evidence, and every child's strength shines. We provide neurodiversity-affirming, play-based therapy to autistic children under 6 across Massachusetts, using NDBI (Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention) — following each child's lead, building on their strengths, in the context of real play and real life. It's joyful, purposeful work, and as Clinical Director, you're the one who makes sure your whole team can do it well, every day.
Our values: Excellent Care (#wholehearted). Kindness (#platinum). Inclusion (#IDIC). Teamwork (#together). Growth (#rainforest).
Reports To: Market Executive Director
This is a 100% on-site, center-based role.
The Clinical Director is the on-the-ground leader of one of ANNA's centers — effectively the CEO of the clinic. You'll own the clinical excellence, day-to-day operations, and team culture of your center, leading a group of BCBAs and Behavior Therapists (BTs) who deliver NDBI-based care to children ages 18 months to 6 years.
This is a role that blends deep clinical leadership with substantial operational ownership — the job is at least as much about running the clinic as it is about clinical supervision. You'll be the direct people manager for your BCBAs (and a level-two manager for BTs), owning their supervision, development, and performance, while also managing your center's budget, staffing, scheduling, and utilization.
Enjoy a stable Monday–Friday schedule — no nights, weekends, or travel required.
Base Salary
$115,000–$125,000 annually
Bonus Potential
Annual bonus of up to $3,000 tied to Quality of Care
A monthly bonus tied to your clinic's financial sustainability (client growth while ramping, then team utilization once ramped).
Both are metrics-based and not guaranteed compensation.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM — no nights, weekends, or travel
Benefits
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Separate paid Sick time (40 hours/year)
Vacation time (80–140 hours/year, growing with tenure)
Professional Development
Annual stipend for CEUs and conference attendance, with ongoing supervision and training
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
Own clinical quality of your center by monitoring client progress, Behavior Therapist treatment fidelity, BCBA implementation fidelity, and other key clinical quality indicators to ensure effective, consistent, and evidence-based care
Provide individual and group supervision to BCBAs and Behavior Therapists, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to our neurodiversity-affirming, NDBI methodology
Supervise BCBAs as they conduct assessments, build intervention plans, and deliver high-quality parent coaching
Monitor clinical documentation and ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines
Coach and develop your clinical team, helping BCBAs and BTs grow into the next level of their careers
Run Your Clinic Like a CEO
Own your center's performance across growth, utilization, quality of care, staff and caregiver experience, and team engagement — the full picture of what makes a clinic thrive
Own the day-to-day operations of your center: staffing, scheduling, supply ordering, facilities, and budget
Manage utilization across your team — a key driver of both BT retention and your center's financial health — and coach BCBAs whose utilization falls below expectations
Partner with centralized Talent Acquisition, HR, and Finance teams to keep hiring, employee relations, and clinic finances running smoothly, while owning the outcomes for your center
Create a safe, clean, welcoming space for the children and families we serve
People Management
Serve as the direct people manager for your BCBAs and a level-two manager for BTs, including performance management
Lead hiring and onboarding for your center in partnership with Talent Acquisition
Foster a collaborative, supportive, fun work environment that keeps your team engaged and reduces turnover
Collaborate with Leadership
Work closely with ANNA's clinical and operational leadership to assess staffing and training needs and support team development initiatives
Participate in individual and group supervision with clinical leadership
Communicate effectively and proactively with your clinical team and the families we serve
Guide the development and revision of ANNA's clinical policies and procedures, ensuring alignment between clinical best practices and operational decisions
Participate in clinical development and research activities when available — for example, program development, pilots of new assessment or treatment tools, case presentations, and conference or research collaborations
Growth here is real and named. Clinical Directors who consistently perform at the highest level — across clinical quality, operational execution, and team leadership — can grow into a Senior Clinical Director, a role reserved for CDs who mentor and model for other clinic leaders across ANNA. Anna is growing, both within and outside Massachusetts. Additional opportunities for growth are available to exceptional Clinical Directors looking for growth beyond the clinic environment.
Required
10+ years of experience in ABA, including 5+ years of post-credential experience providing, supervising, or administering ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorder as a credentialed BCBA, with an active Massachusetts LABA (Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst) license — or equivalent graduate-level behavior analyst credential — in good standing, maintained throughout employment
Master's-level clinician; Ph.D. preferred
Experience with clinical leadership and supervision of BCBAs and/or Behavior Therapists
Extensive experience working with children under the age of 6
Commitment to a neurodiversity-affirming approach to clinical services
Comfort owning operational responsibilities such as budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and utilization management — this role is as much operational as it is clinical
Experience with insurance-based services and knowledge of insurance billing requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Experience with Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (e.g., ESDM, PRT, JASPER)
Prior experience owning the full operational performance of a center, unit, or department (budget, staffing, KPIs)
In-depth knowledge of behavioral assessment and intervention
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online file storage systems

You think of your center as your own business — you take ownership of its clinical quality, its financial health, and its team culture.
