We are seeking a skilled and motivated nurse leader who is clinically strong, operationally savvy, and passionate about building engaged, high-performing teams. This leadership role provides the opportunity to influence day-to-day operations while shaping long-term culture, quality outcomes, and staff development.
If you are a nurse leader who values clinical excellence, professional growth, and collaboration—and who wants to influence positive change—this is an opportunity to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact.
About this unit
This 7-bay inpatient hemodialysis unit is staffed by experienced RNs and hemodialysis technicians who provide specialized care for patients with acute kidney injury and end-stage renal disease. Dialysis treatments are delivered both within the unit and at the bedside in critical care and medical-surgical areas, ensuring timely care across the hospital. With many years of collective dialysis experience, the team is built on a strong foundation of collaboration and teamwork.
Our interdisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care while ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care journey. Whether discharging patients home, transferring them to another facility, advancing them to a procedural area, or facilitating admission to a higher level of care, the team works closely together to provide coordinated, high-quality care at every step.
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for the leadership and operations of both the Dialysis Department and the Nurse-Driven Vascular Access Department. The Nurse-Driven Vascular Access team provides expertise and education on vascular access options and performs PICC line, Midline, and ultrasound-guided intravenous (USGIV) insertions. Candidates with previous dialysis leadership or clinical dialysis experience are strongly preferred.
Scope of work
The Clinical Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for the overall management of assigned units and services. This role provides leadership and oversight of patient care staff to support a culture of excellence in clinical practice, staff engagement, recruitment and retention, and strong clinical and operational outcomes.
The Nurse Manager ensures the safe and effective delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, administrative, and clinical standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures. Serving as a key advocate for safety and retention, the Nurse Manager leverages data, technology, and evidence-based practices to drive decision-making and proactively mitigate risk.
This role fosters a desirable and supportive work environment that enables staff and the organization to meet or exceed strategic goals. Role-specific responsibilities and competencies align with the organization’s Professional Practice Model.
