Concrete Estimator | Construction Materials
Turn construction drawings into real project opportunities.
We're looking for a commercially minded Concrete Estimator to join Heidelberg Materials Australia at our Rivervale Head Office.
You'll work alongside our Perth Metro Concrete Sales team, reviewing upcoming projects and tenders, completing concrete quantity take-offs and helping develop competitive supply proposals.
Rather than estimating the entire construction package, your focus will be clear: understanding how much concrete a project needs, what specification it requires, when it will be required and how Heidelberg Materials can support the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to complete accurate concrete quantity take-offs.
- Prepare quotations, tenders and pricing submissions for residential, commercial, industrial and civil projects.
- Assess project risks, assumptions and exclusions to ensure accurate and commercially sound proposals.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Logistics and Technical teams to develop competitive supply solutions.
- Build relationships with customers, contractors and project stakeholders throughout the tender process.
- Identify and track project opportunities across the WA construction market.
- Maintain accurate tender, forecasting and project pipeline information.
- Support successful project handovers and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating accuracy.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a motivated and commercially minded estimator who can combine technical accuracy with strong business awareness.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Experience in estimating, quantity surveying, construction materials, concrete, civil or structural construction.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commercial acumen and confidence preparing quotations, tenders and pricing submissions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across sales, operations and customer teams.
