Job Title

Corporate Actions Analyst

Job Description

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.3m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.

The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.

Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

Your team

Corporate actions play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality equity and equity derivative products to our esteemed clients.

Your role in the Team’s Success

Our team operates within the Trading and Operations division, handling comprehensive end-to-end processing of all corporate actions and stock transfers, encompassing both mandatory and voluntary events for our global business. We proudly serve clients across various geographical regions, including APAC, EMEA and US.

What you’ll do

As a Corporate Action Analyst, your roles and responsibilities will be:

•  Processing of all Corporate Action events -both Mandatory and Voluntary within IG systems accurately and in a timely manner
• Sending Client emails describing corporate action events and election choice
• Collation of Client instructions
• Preparation of Client Bookings
• Posting of Client Dividends, across product ranges in different IG systems
• Synthetic Dividend reconciliation
• Handling client queries and queries from helpdesk
•  Update static data within IG internal systems accurately
• Resolving reconciliation issues arising out of Corporate Action events
• Use various data analytical tools to analyze data, generate insightful reports and streamline process through automation.

• Support the implementation of various projects within Corporate Actions.

Who we’re looking for?

You’re curious about things like the client experience, the rapid developments in tech, and the complex world of fintech regulation. You’re also a confident, creative thinker with a knack for innovating. We know that you know every problem has a solution. Here, you can try new ideas, and lead the way in creating inspiring experiences for our clients and everyone around you.

We don’t fit the corporate stereotype. If you want to work for a traditional, suit-and-tie corporate that just gives you a pay cheque at the end of the month, we might not be for you. But, if you have that IG Group energy and you can stand behind what we believe in, let’s raise the bar together.

What you’ll need for this role

• A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in financial services with good understanding of Corporate Actions
• Strong data analytical skills such as Tableau is desired
•  Advanced excel knowledge - Macro, VBA and power query
•  Familiarity with the risks associated with corporate action events including client money
• Ability to work with a great deal of attention to detail
• Great team player
• Self-motivation and organization – the ability to manage your own time and tasks effectively
• Good communication skills.

 The Perks

It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognize your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.
