Overview
The Data Operations Administrator owns the execution of master data operations across Business Units.
This role ensures alignment to governance standards, Service Level Agreements (SLA), and internal controls while proactively managing data quality, operational risks, and stakeholder expectations to support operational excellence and compliance.
Key Accountabilities and challenges
Accountable for the accurate, complete and timely creation, modification and de-activation of master data records in line with master data standards, governance policies and Service Level Agreements (SLA). This includes, but not limited to vendor, material, customer, pricing and finance master data across relevant system.
Proactive tracking, analysis and resolution of outstanding master data issues, ensuring risks to business operations, reporting, or compliance are identified early. Bring up in a timely manner to obtain directions, decisions, or remediation support from appropriate authority levels.
Responsible for data gathering, maintenance and reporting to monitor Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics), service levels and operational trends within the master data management process, ensuring alignment to agreed targets.
Operate and leverage reporting tools to monitor data accuracy, integrity and synchronization across integrated systems, ensuring consistency of master data throughout the landscape.
Analyse root cause of data discrepancies and process failure and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in efficiency, data quality, internal controls, and compliance with governance requirements.
Support master data related projects and initiatives by contributing to deployment activities, business requirement definition, testing support and transition into steady-state operations.
Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions and procedures, ensuring document remain current and reflective of operational changes, system enhancements and governance updates.
Essential Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or related field.
Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in master data management or related data operational role. Fresh graduate with relevant internship exposure will also be considered.
Exposure to JDE or SAP and Salesforce would be an added advantage.
Experience working in a cross-culturally and international/global business environment.
Ability to communicate and influence across different levels in the organization
