Data Product Lead

Location: London (Dean Street) or Manchester (Spinningfields) | Hybrid: 2 days in the office per week

Level: Lead

MONY Group - Where better off begins.

We’re on a mission to help millions of people make better financial decisions and build brighter futures. Through trusted brands including MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert and Quidco, we reach millions of people every month, making money simpler and helping customers get more from life.

We’re building the next generation of consumer technology experiences, using data, cloud technology and AI to solve real problems at scale. But technology is only part of the story. How we work matters too.

Our culture is shaped by our behaviours: Accountability, Simplicity, Inclusion and Innovation. We take ownership, make the complex simple, value different perspectives, and challenge ourselves to find better ways to do things. It’s how we create products our customers trust and a workplace where people can do their best work.

As our Data Product Lead, you’ll provide strategic leadership across Data Product and Advanced Analytics, shaping the data products and capabilities that help us understand our customers, make better decisions and deliver measurable value.

You’ll lead our Advanced Analytics product area, including MAPs, our strategic customer intelligence capability, while developing our Data Product team and helping shape how we use data, analytics and AI across the Group.

If you’re excited by turning complex data opportunities into products that create genuine customer and commercial value, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Data Product Lead, you’ll sit at the intersection of Data, Product and the wider business, identifying where data and advanced analytics can have the greatest impact and turning those opportunities into clear, scalable products.

You’ll own the vision and roadmap for Advanced Analytics and MAPs, our account-level customer intelligence capability bringing together Main Account Facts, Activities and Predictions. Working across Data Science, Data Engineering, CRM, Finance and other teams, you’ll balance competing priorities and focus investment on the opportunities that can create the greatest value.

This is a leadership role as much as a product role. You’ll lead and develop three Data Product team members, establishing strong product practices, clear accountability and a culture of continuous learning.

You’ll also help us explore what’s next. As AI and advanced analytics continue to evolve, you’ll bring new thinking into the team, helping us identify where emerging capabilities can solve real problems and create practical value for our customers and business.

What Makes Us Different

• Purpose with scale - The data products you shape will help us make better decisions and create better experiences for millions of customers across some of the UK’s most trusted consumer brands.
• Data with a purpose - We start with the problem we’re trying to solve, not the technology, and focus on where data, analytics and AI can create measurable value.
• Real ownership - You’ll have the opportunity to shape Data Product strategy, priorities and ways of working, with visibility across senior and executive stakeholders.
• Collaboration by design - You’ll work across Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, CRM, Finance and Commercial teams to turn complex opportunities into scalable products.
• Responsible innovation - We’re exploring the opportunities created by AI and advanced analytics while keeping data quality, privacy, explainability and responsible use at the heart of what we do.
• A culture built on Accountability, Simplicity, Inclusion and Innovation - We take ownership, value diverse perspectives, challenge ourselves to improve and focus on making the complex simple.

What You’ll Do

• Shape and lead Data Product and Advanced Analytics initiatives that support our wider business strategy and create measurable customer and commercial value.
• Own the vision, objectives and roadmap for Advanced Analytics and MAPs, our strategic customer intelligence capability.
• Turn complex business challenges into clear Data Product opportunities, defining objectives, outcomes, KPIs and measures of success.
• Balance priorities across CRM, Finance, Data and other teams, focusing investment and capacity on the highest-value opportunities.
• Work closely with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to take products from discovery and proof of concept through to production, adoption, monitoring and iteration.
• Ensure analytical and predictive products are solving clearly defined business problems and their impact can be measured.
• Lead, coach and develop three Data Product team members, setting clear objectives and helping them grow their product skills and careers.
• Communicate priorities, progress, value, dependencies and trade-offs clearly to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate standards around data governance, privacy, security, model evaluation, explainability and responsible AI.
• Stay close to emerging Data Product, advanced analytics and AI trends, identifying where new approaches could create practical value for MONY Group and our customers.

What We’re Looking For

Above all, we’re looking for someone who:

• Thinks about outcomes and value, not just outputs.
• Can turn complex data and analytical opportunities into clear, understandable product strategies.
• Is comfortable navigating ambiguity and making evidence-based decisions.
• Builds strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
• Can challenge constructively, balance competing priorities and create alignment.
• Enjoys developing others and building strong product capability within a team.
• Stays curious about how data, analytics and AI can be used to solve meaningful customer and business problems.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience in Data Product or Product Management, including discovery, prioritisation, roadmap ownership and defining successful outcomes.
• Experience leading Data Products from discovery through delivery, adoption and continuous improvement.
• A good understanding of advanced analytics, predictive modelling and AI-enabled products, and how these can translate into real business outcomes.
• Experience working across Data Science, Data Engineering and business teams to deliver scalable products.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing Product Managers, Product Owners or Data Product professionals.
• Strong commercial and analytical judgement, with the ability to prioritise based on customer value, business impact, feasibility and capacity.
• Experience defining objectives, KPIs and success measures and using them to demonstrate product impact.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and communicate clearly with senior and executive audiences.
• A good understanding of data governance, privacy, risk and the responsible use of data and AI.

Experience with customer intelligence products, predictive use cases such as propensity, churn, lifetime value, forecasting or personalisation, and modern cloud data platforms would be valuable, but you don’t need to tick every box. We’re interested in the breadth of experience and thinking you could bring to the role.
