Parallel is a web infrastructure company. Our products are used by leading businesses in sales, marketing, insurance, and coding to build best-in-class AI agents with flexible and powerful programmatic access to the web.
We've raised $230 million from Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, First Round, and Terrain to build the web for AIs. We're currently valued at $2 billion and we're forming a world-class team of engineers, designers, marketers, sellers, researchers, and operational experts to achieve our mission.
Job: You will build Parallel’s deal desk from the ground up and own how we price, structure, and close deals. Every non-standard quote, discount request, and custom term runs through you. You’ll stand up approval matrices, quoting workflows, and a clear path for non-standard terms that keeps up with a team selling usage-based AI products to enterprises. You’ll work live deals with account executives and decide when to hold firm and when to bend, inside the pricing and margin guardrails set with GTM strategic finance. You’ll partner with legal on contract terms and with accounting so every deal books cleanly and bills correctly. You’re accountable for deal velocity, terms discipline, and making sure what we sign is something we can deliver.
You: You’ve run or been a core member of a deal desk at a SaaS or infrastructure company with consumption or committed-spend pricing. You’ve structured ramp deals, prepaid commitments, and multi-year contracts, and you know where the risk sits in each. You understand how deal terms affect revenue recognition, billing, and margin. You can model a deal’s economics in minutes and explain the tradeoffs clearly to an AE under quarter-end pressure. You know which rules protect the business and which ones just slow it down. You’ve set up CPQ or billing systems, and you’d rather automate an approval than babysit it. You move fast, make the call, and tell people what they need to hear.
Our team works fully in-person, between our Palo Alto HQ and San Francisco office. We’re a flat, talent-dense organization dedicated to solving technical and creative problems.
We seek like-minded individuals who share our passion for applying science, creativity, and consistency to big and complex problems with equally big outcomes. These are our values:
Own customer impact: It’s on us to ensure real-world outcomes for our customers.
Obsess over craft: Perfect every detail because quality compounds.
Accelerate change: Ship fast, adapt faster, and move frontier ideas into production.
Create win-wins: Creatively turn trade-offs into upside.
Make high-conviction bets: Try and fail. But succeed an unfair amount.
