Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced technical professional to lead & manage the Triton MQ-4C Maintenance/FSE Team supporting U.S. Navy forces in Japan.
The Deputy Site Lead in Japan (Sr Principal Engineer) is responsible for directing and scheduling Field Service Engineers (FSEs) in executing software upgrades, systems integration and testing, and flight and maintenance operations for the Triton aircraft. Maintain direct liaison with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) that have an impact on Air Vehicle (AV) and Ground Segment (GSEG) systems. May be required to attain and maintain Air Vehicle or GSEG system qualifications. May be assigned as Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) on the Air Vehicle (AV) or GSEG (FOB). The Deputy Site Lead is accountable to direct and oversee program maintenance IAW safety regulations and established corporate policy, procedures and government regulations including but not limited to Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) for the MQ-4C Triton IFC-4 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), Fleet Engineering Dispositions, Technical Directives, Contractor Operating Procedures, and published program maintenance procedures. The Deputy Site Lead will be authorized to execute maintenance requirements in coordination with customer maintenance leadership, program engineers. Site Lead and Operations Managers.
Directs Site personnel daily schedules, including subcontractors, daily maintenance activities to execute program objectives on time. In the absence of Site Lead, or as delegated by Site Lead, may assign Safety personnel in support of safety program.
This position will actively assist and provide directions to the FSE Team as required to accommodate the Navy customer ground/flight operations. This position works closely with the Site Lead, Program and Engineering teams, to ensure the MQ-4C UAS are functional and available for customer operations tempo. Responsible for collection and reporting of system maintenance data metrics to support Reliability and Maintainability efforts. Ensures the system is configured in accordance with the Program’s Configuration and Data Management Plans. Ensures maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures. Follows & assists in any ground operating procedures audits, inspections, and/or compliance reviews IAW DCMA 8210.1D. Provides feedback to Triton Program during daily maintenance pass downs, shift turnover or meetings.
This position requires 100% travel/relocation to Guam, Japan or other OCONUS locations in support of any AV divert or customer operation. This is considered a long term (2yr) assignment, HOLA, COLA, IMI, & additional assignment allowances apply.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field from an accredited university AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, OR a Master’s degree AND 6 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Two years of Systems Test Engineering or Systems Integration Engineering experience.
Must have an Active US Government Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS/SCI clearance.
Experience working in flight operations.
Must have technical MQ-4C Triton Aircraft experience (Or similar).
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have strong communication skills/delivery methods, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft/Teams.
Experience in managing a maintenance department supporting an FSR function.
MQ-4C Aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, ground handling, launch/recovery, Safe for Flight.
NAVY/NAVAIR/NAMP/OPNAVINST 4790.2, OOMA, DCMA 8210.1D.
Must be willing to travel/live 100% abroad.
Must have valid/current passport credentials.
