This role is focused on building and growing a vibrant community of developers, researchers, and early adopters working at the forefront of AI.
You’ll shape the strategy for engaging technical users and create spaces where builders can connect, exchange ideas, and share what they are creating.
From Discord and forums to meetups, hackathons, office hours, and livestreams, you’ll create experiences that deepen engagement and expand reach.
You’ll also develop an ambassador program and establish scalable systems that make community operations more efficient as the ecosystem grows.
Working closely with technical and marketing teams, you’ll turn community conversations and feedback into actionable insights and opportunities.
The role combines community building, event leadership, operations, relationship management, and genuine curiosity about emerging technology.
It’s an opportunity to help shape an ambitious developer ecosystem while building meaningful relationships with people pushing the boundaries of AI.
Accountabilities:
- Establish the overall strategy for supporting and engaging developers, researchers, and enterprises seeking greater control over AI.
- Build and manage developer community spaces, including Discord servers and forums, answering questions, facilitating discussions, and capturing feedback for internal teams.

- Organize and lead developer-focused experiences such as meetups, hackathons, office hours, and livestreams from planning through execution.
- Collaborate with developer groups, universities, accelerators, and open-source communities to co-host events and expand community reach.
- Highlight user projects and design partners through case studies, written content, guest talks, and other community storytelling initiatives.
- Build automations, processes, and systems that make community operations more scalable and efficient.
- Partner with technical and marketing teams on cross-functional initiatives, feedback loops, and community-driven projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with community members, identifying interesting projects, connecting people with shared interests, and staying closely connected to what developers are building.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in a community leadership or community management role, ideally engaging technical or developer audiences.
- Strong operational instincts, with demonstrated experience creating scalable processes from the ground up and driving cross-functional initiatives through completion.
- Excellent written communication skills and experience engaging communities through platforms such as Discord and X.
- Proven ability to organize developer events end-to-end, ranging from small meetups to large-scale hackathons.
- Genuine empathy for developers and strong curiosity about the technologies, projects, and ideas they are building.
- Highly social and relationship-oriented, with the energy and initiative to connect with new people, build trust, and consistently follow up.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in an evolving environment where priorities and approaches may change.
- Willingness to experiment, challenge conventional approaches, and bring bold ideas to community-building initiatives.
- Strong team orientation, with the ability to make collaboration positive, engaging, and productive.
Benefits:
- Six-month remote contract opportunity focused on developer relations and community building.
- Flexible work environment within a distributed, global-first team.
- Opportunities for in-person collaboration and team offsites.
- Annual travel stipend through a dedicated travel benefit designed to encourage exploration and new experiences.
- Weekly lunch stipend for take-out or grocery delivery.
- Comprehensive medical benefits.
- Generous paid time off.
- Opportunity to build a developer community and ambassador ecosystem from the ground up.
- Exposure to developers, researchers, enterprises, universities, accelerators, and open-source communities working in AI.
