Position Overview:

Canada Goose is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Global Regulatory Compliance to lead the Company's global regulatory compliance program. This role is responsible for identifying, assessing, implementing, and monitoring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and regulatory developments affecting Canada Goose's products, operations, supply chain and manufacturing activities  across all jurisdictions in which the Company conducts business.

 

The Director will serve as the enterprise leader for all aspects of product, environmental and operational compliance, partnering closely with Legal, Sustainability, Product Development, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Retail teams to ensure Canada Goose maintains a strong and practical compliance framework while supporting business growth and innovation.

 

This position plays a critical role in protecting the Canada Goose brand by ensuring that products, practices, and business operations meet regulatory requirements globally.

 

What You'll Do:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global regulatory compliance framework covering all jurisdictions in which Canada Goose operates.
• Monitor emerging regulatory developments and assess the impact of new laws and regulations on the Company's products, operations, supply chain, and strategic initiatives.
• Establish enterprise-wide compliance policies, procedures, controls, training programs, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Serve as the primary advisor to senior management on regulatory compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain an enterprise regulatory risk register and provide regular reporting to executive leadership and relevant Board committees.
• Oversee compliance with product-related regulations and standards, including product safety, textile and apparel requirements, fiber content and care labeling, country-of-origin and marking requirements, chemical substance restrictions, restricted substances programs, consumer protection, product stewardship, and testing and certification requirements.
• Ensure products meet applicable regulatory requirements before market launch.
• Partner with Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to embed compliance requirements into product development processes.
• Lead compliance efforts relating to global environmental and sustainability regulations, including extended producer responsibility, Digital Product Passport requirements, product traceability, packaging, waste and recycling obligations, supply chain transparency and circular economy requirements.
• Work closely with Sustainability and ESG teams to align compliance activities with corporate sustainability objectives.
• Ensure readiness for emerging environmental regulations in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other key markets.
• Engage with industry associations, external counsel, consultants, and regulatory bodies as appropriate.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, certifications, disclosures, and government inquiries.

 

About You:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory compliance, compliance management, product compliance, environmental compliance, or regulatory affairs.
• Experience within consumer products, apparel, retail, manufacturing, luxury goods, or related industries preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working across multiple jurisdictions including North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other global markets.

Salary Range:

$145,000.00 - $181,000.00 / year
