QuantWare is building the world’s most powerful quantum processors to solve humanity's greatest challenges. We do this with our unique VIO™ technology, the only QPU architecture that breaks the hardware barriers that have held quantum computing back, unlocking the path to MegaQubit quantum processors.
With VIO, we are paving the way for the hyper-scale quantum computers that will change the world. And delivering on that vision demands people who don’t shy away from tackling the hardest challenges of our time. That’s where you come in!
We are seeking a Director of Systems Integration to lead, build, and scale the engineering organization responsible for deploying our technology with top-tier global partners. In this role, you will take ownership of major quantum hardware and system integration programs, managing system engineering teams and serving as the executive engineering interface to our strategic enterprise partners, translating complex commercial goals into high-performing physical systems.
What you’ll be doing
Lead & Scale System Engineering Teams: Recruit, manage, and mentor a small team of senior technical leads and engineers across Systems Engineering, HPC Integration, Ecosystem Management, Advanced Packaging, and RF Engineering.
Program Ownership: Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-year, commercial quantum hardware integration projects involving partner co-design.
Engineering Leadership Relations: Build, maintain, and manage relationships with senior engineering leadership at customer and partner organizations.
Ecosystem Readiness: Identify and de-risk technical, timeline and cost mismatches across third-party hardware suppliers and integration partners to ensure compatibility with our QPUs.
Process optimisation: Establish, mature and scale standardized engagement frameworks and processes for integration projects, partner training programs, logistics, etc.
Commercial Interface: Partner closely with Business Development teams to evaluate technical feasibility, resource allocation, and timeline alignment on strategic commercial proposals.
Your Profile
Master’s or PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Microelectronics, or Computer Engineering.
10+ years of technical leadership experience with direct people management of multi-disciplinary engineering teams in complex hardware environments.
Customer facing delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, projects involving close technology integration, co-design, and high-capital equipment deployment.
Deep domain expertise in HPC systems integration, advanced semiconductor packaging, or supercomputing infrastructure (e.g., thermal budgets, high-density RF signal routing, cryogenics, or compute scaling).
Exceptional cross-functional communicator capable of bridging strategic business goals with physical hardware engineering constraints and presenting to executive leadership.
A proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at building high-performing engineering teams.
Don't tick every box? Apply anyway! Research shows women often self-select out if they don't meet every requirement. Here's our take: nobody ticks every box. This is a description of our ideal candidate, not a filter. If most resonates and you're keen to learn the gaps, apply. We hire for trajectory, not perfection.
What We Offer:
At QuantWare, you’ll be part of a high-performing team of world-class experts in an ambitious, fast-moving environment. From day one, you’ll have the trust, tools, and support to do your best work. Here’s what you can expect:
Competitive salary - A salary that reflects the impact and importance of the role (and of course 8% holiday allowance)
Pension that’s built to last - A generous and future-proof pension plan that includes partner and dependent coverage.
Flexibility built on trust - We focus on outcomes. Work flexibly, in a hybrid setup, with an open vacation policy that lets you manage your time
Personal growth - We invest in your L&D, with a budget available to each team member, dependent on their individual ambitions, development needs, and performance
A connected team - We make space to celebrate wins together, with team events, offsites, and spontaneous moments that bring us closer
Diversity & Inclusion at QuantWare
We’re an ambitious company, not only for our goals but also to become an even more diverse and inclusive team.
