At Arizent, performance marketing is about more than managing campaigns. It's about connecting the right audiences with experiences and information that help them succeed.
We're seeking a Director of Performance Marketing to lead paid media strategy and execution across our portfolio of industry events and digital subscription products.
In this high-impact role, you'll own the paid media lifecycle, from forecasting and budget allocation to campaign execution, pacing, testing, optimization, and performance measurement. You'll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive event registrations and attendance, grow subscription revenue, and maximize return on marketing investment. A primary responsibility is ensuring paid spend is properly attributed by channel and tactic. You'll also help Arizent establish a clear model connecting media investment to registrations, attendance, ticket revenue, sponsor outcomes, subscription revenue, and long-term customer value.
We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on expertise, thrives on data-driven decision-making, and enjoys turning campaign insights into measurable business results.
Headquartered in the heart of New York City, we offer a hybrid work environment for employees based in the New York metropolitan area, while also welcoming remote employees across the United States.

Drive Event Registrations & Audience Growth
Develop and execute paid media strategies for Arizent's portfolio of conferences, summits, awards programs, and virtual events.
Partner with Event Marketing and brand teams to build a paid media plan for each event based on registration goals, revenue objectives, audience priorities, sponsor commitments, and historical performance.
Advise on targeting, offers and deadlines, pricing tests, channel mix, and registration-page strategy, including when paid media is—and isn't—the right lever.
Attract qualified attendees, including senior decision-makers and professionals from target industries and organizations, so event audiences deliver on sponsor commitments.
Leverage first-party, subscriber, and past-attendee data to improve targeting, lookalike, and retargeting audiences, coordinating segmentation and suppression with Event Marketing.
Optimize campaigns around event milestones, including event announcements, speaker announcements, early-bird and pricing deadlines, and final registration periods.
Run registration-abandonment, late-stage, and show-rate campaigns to maximize registrations and attendance.
Lead Campaign Strategy & Optimization
Build, launch, and optimize campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, and other paid media channels.
Manage campaign targeting, bidding, budgets, pacing, and retargeting strategies.
Collaborate with Event Marketing and Studio to develop compelling messaging, advertising copy, and campaign assets.
Test audiences, offers, creative, and landing pages and channels to improve conversion rates and campaign effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance through emerging tools and marketing technologies.
Accelerate Subscription Growth
Lead paid acquisition initiatives for individual subscriptions across Arizent's media brands.
Partner with Subscription Marketing and Product teams to optimize offers, pricing and trial tests, and conversion experiences.
Develop retargeting strategies that convert engaged readers into subscribers.
Identify opportunities to introduce event audiences to relevant subscription products.
Optimize acquisition efforts to support sustainable subscription revenue growth.
Own Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Measurement
Develop and manage annual, monthly, and event-specific paid media budgets across LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, native, programmatic, and emerging channels.
Work with business leadership (EVP Events, EVP Information Services, CMO, and CFO) to recommend annual and monthly budgets that align with growth goals.
Forecast registrations, cost per registration, attendance, and ticket revenue for each event, track pace against targets, and adjust investments based on registration trends, acquisition costs, revenue opportunities, audience gaps, and proximity to event dates.
Set and track goals for cost per registration, attendance rate, ticket revenue, subscription CPA, customer acquisition costs, LTV-to-CAC, and return on advertising spend.
Deliver weekly pacing dashboards, monthly analyses, post-event readouts, and actionable recommendations to business leaders, including when to scale, reduce, or redirect investment, with a portfolio view across brands and event types that distinguishes incremental from total registrations and notes attribution limits.
Partner with Data & AI, Product, and Marketing Operations to strengthen campaign attribution, conversion tracking, and reporting across ad platforms, Cvent, Omeda, and Salesforce.
Drive Marketing Technology & Innovation
Serve as Arizent's subject-matter expert on paid media platforms, campaign tracking, and measurement practices.
Maintain strong standards for platform access, campaign tracking (naming conventions, UTMs, and conversion tracking), data privacy, and brand safety.
Explore opportunities to use AI and automation to improve campaign development, creative testing, and performance reporting, with human oversight.
Identify and recommend tools, processes, and strategies that improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
What You'll Bring

At least 3 years of hands-on experience owning paid media strategy, budgets, and execution for B2B event registrations, including conferences, summits, awards programs, or virtual events, ideally across a portfolio of events.
Demonstrated ability to forecast and optimize campaigns against registration pace, event deadlines, audience composition, attendance, and ticket revenue goals.
Experience driving digital subscription acquisition for B2B media, SaaS, information services, or similar products.

Understanding of how event audiences create sponsor value and feed subscription and enterprise funnels.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze performance, and translate data into actionable business recommendations.
Strong copywriting, creative-briefing, and landing- and registration-page optimization skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across marketing, events, sales, sponsorship, editorial, creative, product, finance, and data teams.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on campaign execution in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience promoting B2B events in financial services, professional services, media, or market intelligence.
Experience marketing a portfolio of paid-ticket and free events, including in-person and virtual formats.
