The role - what you'll do
Barr is seeking an electrical engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this hybrid role, you will support the electrical group, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams to provide electrical engineering and related technical expertise. Work will include integrating process, mechanical, and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems. This person will also be responsible for managing projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff, providing technical leadership, managing teams to meet clients' needs, and conducting business development activities. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments.
A successful person in this role will have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. The ideal candidate for this position is intrinsically motivated and emphasizes client service. They enjoy working independently and as part of a team, applying their technical skills and project management expertise to a variety of projects. They are flexible in working with their project teams and are willing to occasionally modify schedules to meet project deadlines and/or client needs. This person is also relationship-focused, as the role involves serving both internal and external clients.

About the opportunity
Compensation: Anticipated range of $90,000—$115,000 annually. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position are also eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. This position is classified as exempt (salaried) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
