Earn and Nurture Trust
Our diverse team enables us to better understand and serve our clients, attract the best talent and innovate successfully. From the moment you step through our doors, you’ll feel welcome and supported to do the best work you can.
Our head office in Auckland is a modern, functional space overlooking the Viaduct, and just a 5 minute walk from Britomart’s central transport hub. We’ve also got access to co-working spaces across New Zealand and Australia, to cater to some of our team and clients in different regions.
As an Engagement Director at ClearPoint, you will be accountable for the successful strategic execution of key client portfolios or large-scale programmes. You're the key to upholding quality, profitability, and fostering exceptional client outcomes across all assigned accounts. You’re the vital link to bring ClearPoint's delivery capabilities to life to meet our clients' strategic objectives. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will build strong executive and senior level relationships and collaboratively manage resources and strategy alongside the Client Director and Technical Director — the three leaders accountable for every ClearPoint account.
Strategic Delivery, Consulting & Commercial Oversight: Set engagement strategy, oversee delivery across your portfolio, manage financial performance (margins, forecasting), ensure quality and manage risk. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll contribute directly to client engagements through governance, executive consulting and delivery leadership, not just oversight.
Executive Client Management & Growth: Build and maintain C-level relationships, manage expectations, act as an escalation point, and proactively identify and pursue expansion opportunities.
Collaborative Leadership & Resourcing: Lead resource planning and allocation in collaboration with internal leaders (Client Directors, Technical Directors, Practice Directors, Head of Talent & Culture) and provide oversight to delivery teams.
Engagement Standards & Improvement: Ensure engagements follow ClearPoint standards and contribute to refining our delivery best practices.
Senior Leadership (10+ years): Executive-level experience leading complex technology or consulting programmes, client operations or large portfolios, with multi-million dollar budgets and P&L responsibility.
Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of professional services economics (utilisation, rates, margins, SOWs), forecasting and commercial negotiation.
Executive Relationships: A track record of building trust and influence with C-level stakeholders over the long term, and communicating at the right level for that audience.
AI Fluency: Comfortable leading engagements where AI agents are part of the delivery team, and able to articulate the value of AI-enabled delivery to executives in business terms.
Delivery Expertise: Experience tailoring delivery methodologies, resource planning, risk management and executive reporting to the needs of each engagement.
Growth & Pre-Sales: Proven ability to identify and win expansion opportunities within accounts, and to contribute to pre-sales through solution shaping, estimation and proposals.
Collaborative Leadership: Ability to lead, influence and delegate within matrixed teams, drive results in ambiguous environments, and escalate a clear recommendation when the situation requires it.
Strategic & Results-Oriented: Able to hold and communicate a view that balances client needs, delivery quality, team wellbeing, ClearPoint’s reputation and commercial outcomes. Alignment with our values is essential.
You’ll lead engagements with some of the largest and most recognised enterprises across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, on complex, strategic and innovative initiatives. There’s plenty of variety in the role, and the opportunity to carve your own path within ClearPoint.
We offer competitive remuneration and a performance incentive, and as a member of our senior leadership group you’ll work closely with the executive team.
We support flexible and remote working arrangements where appropriate, so you can balance your work, life and passions. Slack and Google Meet keep us connected wherever you’re working from.
Benefits include health insurance, subsidised gym membership, regular wellbeing workshops and team fitness sessions, and a dog- and kid-friendly head office overlooking the Viaduct, with barista coffee, drinks and snacks.
We have a BYOD policy at ClearPoint to allow you to utilise whatever tech takes your fancy. For our permanent staff, we provide a yearly BYOD allowance and phone allowance, so you can choose the tech that best suits your needs.
All our permanent staff get an annual training and professional development budget. We provide the technology and support to empower our people to use AI tools, helping you achieve your best work every day.
