We are seeking a Electrical Designer to join our team at GE Vernoa Vadodara (Large Power transformer India). The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the design and optimization of power transformers electrical design with a strong background in transformer test requirements including DIL (Design Insulation level) chart Preparation. In this role, the candidate will support detailed electrical design, contribute to tender proposals, ensure compliance with international standards, and assist in design optimization using modern engineering tools.

Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: o Detail Electrical design process for power transformers and support internal team for customer requirement summary, Clerance chart. o Understanding magnetic fields, flux, permeability, and losses (hysteresis and eddy current). o Support team for Design and optimize internal electrical connections and layouts to ensure maximum operational efficiency and safety of power transformers. o Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO, IEC, IEEE, and other relevant guidelines in transformer design and manufacturing processes. o Conduct and contribute to DFMEA assessments to identify potential design risks and implement mitigation strategies. o Work closely with engineering teams, production units, and external stakeholders to refine and improve transformer designs. o Maintain thorough design documentation, including specifications, test reports, and compliance records. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical design, specifically in power transformer design or related areas. Technical Expertise: o In-depth understanding of power transformer electrical design, internal connections, and layouts. o Strong knowledge of international standards (ISO, IEC, IEEE, etc.). o Experience with DFMEA and other risk management techniques in electrical design. o Familiarity with international & national EHS norms. Tools Proficiency: o Proficiency in relevant electrical design tools and software's. o 2D AutoCAD simulation. o Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint for documentation, analysis, and presentations. Language Skill: Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
