This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engineering Manager, AI CICD based in United States.
This role leads a fast-moving engineering team building developer-focused products at the intersection of software supply chain security, AI, and cloud infrastructure.
You will own a portfolio of products end-to-end, from roadmap definition and architecture through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration.
The position combines people leadership with meaningful technical involvement, giving you the opportunity to review designs, contribute to prototypes, and guide engineering decisions.
You will partner closely with Product and customers to prioritize real-world needs, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and deliver solutions that developers actively use.
The role offers significant autonomy and requires a bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and a strong focus on measurable outcomes.
You will help shape emerging capabilities around CI/CD, developer tooling, containers, Kubernetes, AI-powered workflows, and microVM-based technologies.
This is an opportunity to build and scale a high-performing engineering culture while delivering secure, reliable, and innovative technology products.
Accountabilities:
- Own a portfolio of developer-focused products and emerging technologies end-to-end, guiding initiatives from roadmap definition and implementation through rollout, adoption, and ongoing improvement.
- Hire, lead, mentor, and grow a small team of high-performing software engineers, removing obstacles and creating an environment where team members can do their best work.
- Maintain strong technical involvement by reviewing architecture and designs, evaluating pull requests, prototyping solutions when needed, and helping engineers resolve complex technical challenges.
- Partner closely with Product to establish a focused roadmap with clear priorities and deadlines, making informed tradeoffs and encouraging iterative delivery rather than waiting for perfect solutions.
- Navigate ambiguous technical and product challenges by taking initiative, defining practical paths forward, and driving decisions without requiring complete specifications.
- Maintain ownership of product quality, reliability, and customer outcomes, ensuring solutions are robust and deliver meaningful value to users.
- Stay closely connected to customers and use their feedback, product usage, and real-world needs to inform priorities and continuously improve the product portfolio.
- Foster a high-performance engineering culture built around customer focus, intentional action, accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and rapid execution.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing software engineers, with a genuine and sustained interest in developing people, building strong teams, and providing effective technical leadership.
- Proven track record of successfully shipping software products or major features and taking ownership of their resulting outcomes.
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to read and understand code, review system designs, reason about architecture and tradeoffs, and provide credible technical guidance; proficiency in Go is valued, or you should be able to ramp up quickly.
- Experience building or supporting CI/CD systems, developer tooling, or product-facing platforms, with familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience applying AI tooling to complex customer or engineering problems, combined with genuine enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and their practical applications.
- Strong ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, demonstrate a bias toward action, make pragmatic decisions, and deliver incrementally.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product, engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to hire, develop, motivate, and retain talented engineers while maintaining a high technical and delivery standard.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on building products that solve meaningful problems and achieve measurable adoption and impact.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $229,000–$258,000 USD annually.
- Flexible, remote-first working environment with opportunities for team meetups and bi-annual destination summits.
- Monthly stipend to support coworking spaces, phone, and internet costs.
- Stock options upon hire and promotion, with opportunities to participate in secondary offerings.
- Extended 10-year exercise period for stock options.
- 100% company-paid health, vision, and dental insurance premiums for employees and dependents.
- Flexible paid time off designed to support sustainable performance and adequate time to recharge.
- Paid parental leave of up to 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, with flexible options for using the leave throughout the child's first year.
- Opportunity to work on products spanning software supply chain security, AI, developer tooling, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- High-autonomy environment focused on meaningful ownership, rapid execution, continuous learning, and customer impact.
- Remote work opportunity available within the United States.
