Essential Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to other engineers assigned to support different legacy programs.
- Document technical data generated to substantiate the analytical results consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Get a full understanding of the Ignition Systems components (Igniter, Lead and Exciter) and the physics behind them, as you might be part of an effort to improve and/or define components of all different projects.
- Participate as presenter of tasks status
- Solve problems of limited scope and complexity regarding product performance and definition of different Ignition System components.
- Analyze test data and reach conclusions and engineering recommendations.
- Prepare engineering changes, presentations, and technical documentation to support technical discussions.
- Ensure full compliance with business standards, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in a university within a minimum period of 1 year of remaining classes before graduating.
- BS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering student or similar background
- 40 available hours per week
- Basic knowledge of Turbomachinery and/or Ignition systems.
- Mechanical analysis skills.
- Programming skills desirables
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Fundamental understanding of the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function.
- Proficiency in English language communication
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledgeable in NX Unigraphics, ANSYS, or similar design software
- Knowledgeable in Ignition Systems
- Knowledgeable in Turbomachinery
- Knowledge in Labview desirable
